The Opportunity

Human Resources Manager

You'll be the first dedicated HR leader, working closely with founders and department heads to attract top AI/ML talent, develop people-first policies, and create an environment where innovation thrives.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning (40%)

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for technical roles (ML Engineers, Computer Vision Specialists, Data Scientists) and business functions
  • Build employer branding strategies to position eizen.ai as an employer of choice in the AI/tech ecosystem
  • Develop sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, AngelList, tech communities, and university partnerships
  • Conduct structured interviews and assessment processes to ensure culture and skill fit
  • Create and execute campus hiring programs for AI/ML talent from premier institutions
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and outsourcing partners

HR Strategy & Policy Development (25%)

  • Design and implement comprehensive HR policies, employee handbook, and compliance frameworks
  • Develop compensation structures, benefits packages, and equity/ESOP programs competitive in the AI startup ecosystem
  • Create performance management systems including OKRs, 360-degree feedback, and career progression frameworks
  • Establish employee engagement programs, retention strategies, and exit management processes
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws (Shops & Establishments Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.)
  • Build diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives

Employee Relations & Culture Building (20%)

  • Serve as trusted advisor and point of contact for employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances
  • Design onboarding experiences that accelerate new hire productivity and cultural integration
  • Foster a high-performance, innovation-driven culture aligned with company values
  • Organize team-building activities, town halls, and employee recognition programs
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to gather insights and improve employee experience
  • Manage workplace safety and employee wellness programs

HR Operations & Administration (15%)

  • Maintain accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and employee records
  • Administer payroll coordination, attendance tracking, and leave management
  • Manage employee benefits administration (health insurance, provident fund, etc.)
  • Prepare HR metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership (attrition rates, time-to-hire, diversity metrics, etc.)
  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams on HR-related compliance and audits
  • Oversee vendor management for HR services (background verification, insurance brokers, etc.)

Learning & Development (10%)

  • Identify skill gaps and design training programs for technical and soft skills development
  • Create leadership development programs for emerging managers
  • Facilitate workshops on AI ethics, communication, and collaboration
  • Build career development pathways and succession planning frameworks
  • Partner with external training providers and online learning platforms
