Position Overview:


The Head – Human Resources will be responsible for establishing and leading the HR function across the Renewable Energy and Infrastructure verticals (Solar, Wind, Hybrid, BESS, Transmission, and Corporate). This role will oversee the entire employee lifecycle – from talent acquisition and organizational development to HR policies, performance management, and leadership development.


The role demands a strategic leader who can design scalable people processes, drive organizational culture, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership to build a high-performing workforce aligned with the company’s rapid growth plans.


Key Responsibilities:


HR Strategy & Organization Development

  • Define and implement HR policy, strategy aligned with the company’s growth in renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Design workforce planning, manpower budgeting, and succession planning frameworks.
  • Drive organizational culture initiatives to ensure collaboration, performance, and retention.


Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Build a strong employer brand to attract top talent in Renewable Energy, EPC, and Infrastructure.
  • Lead recruitment for leadership, technical, and project-level roles across India and overseas.
  • Establish partnerships with universities, technical institutes, and recruitment agencies for campus recruitment drive.


HR Policies, SOPs & Compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and approval matrix in line with corporate governance and labor laws.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (labor laws, PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishments, POSH, etc.).
  • Standardize HR processes across all business units.


Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Oversee compensation benchmarking and ensure competitive C&B practices.
  • Analyze industry benchmarks for employee salary and HR policies and align with industry standards and assess the existing policies with changes that are required to be implemented for hiring and retaining efficient work force.
  • Drive payroll accuracy, benefits administration, and HR digitization.
  • Coordinate with Finance department for budgeting the cots and to ensure alignment of cost structures with business growth.


Performance Management & Employee Engagement

  • Drive performance management frameworks (KRAs, KPIs, appraisal systems).
  • Build recognition and reward programs to drive high performance.
  • Design and implement engagement initiatives to ensure minimal attrition and for retention of talented employees and ensure employee satisfaction.


Learning & Development

  • Establish training frameworks for technical and leadership development.
  • Implement capability-building programs for managers and site-level teams.
  • Drive leadership pipeline development aligned with future growth.


Stakeholder & Leadership Collaboration

  • Coordinate and work with the CEO, CFO, and Business Heads to align HR function with business priorities.
  • Represent the HR function in Board reviews, investor presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Provide HR insights for project bids, mergers & acquisitions, and global expansion.


Ethics, Governance & Culture

  • Drive organizational values, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance, ESG, and compliance frameworks.
  • Foster a transparent, ethical, and zero-tolerance workplace.


Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA (HR) / PGDM (HR) or equivalent from reputed institute.
  • 20–25 years of HR leadership experience in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, or EPC sectors.
  • Proven experience in building HR systems and managing scale-ups (1000+ workforce).
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and labor relations in India and overseas.
  • Experience in leading HR digitization/automation (SAP/ERP).
  • Demonstrated success in leading large HR teams (15+ members) across geographies.
