As a Civil Design Engineer at our company, you will be a crucial part of the civil design team focusing on utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. Your role will involve supporting senior staff in preparing layouts, grading plans, foundations, and drainage designs to ensure compliance with design standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in creating site layouts, grading plans, access roads, and drainage designs for solar PV and BESS sites. - Draft civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software. - Support senior engineers in preparing foundation details, equipment pads, and road cross-sections. - Conduct basic calculations for earthworks, concrete volumes, and material take-offs (BOQs). - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure civil designs align with electrical and mechanical layouts. - Participate in design reviews, documentation, and revisions. - Perform field visits or assist with survey data interpretation, if required. - Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and design versions. - Ensure compliance with local codes, permitting regulations, and international design standards (IS, ASCE, ACI, ASTM, etc.). Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors / Masters degree in Civil Engineering (or in final year if internship-based). - 3+ years of experience in civil/structural design in renewable energy (Solar or BESS) projects. - Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting tools. - Knowledge of concrete works, earthworks, foundations, and stormwater systems. - Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, HEC-RAS, or similar design software. - Understanding of civil fundamentals: earthworks, foundations, drainage, and roadworks. - Eagerness to learn and ability to follow engineering standards and instructions. - Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
