Financial Controller

Rasayanam is looking for a Finance Controller to lead end-to-end financial operations and build scalable, compliant finance systems that support our high-growth D2C business.

Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting across AR, AP, GL, billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, inventory, and inter-company transactions for D2C, e-commerce, and retail channels.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures, with financial statements finalized within 10 days.
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations with complete accuracy and manage SKU-level inventory accounting and stockyard controls.
• Drive unit economics analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and rolling 13-month cash flow models focused on profitability and cash optimization.
• Deliver clear, actionable MIS reports and dashboards covering gross margins, CAC, retention, burn rate, and key operational metrics.
• Ensure 100% compliance with GST, income tax, TDS/TCS, Companies Act filings, and audit requirements, staying ahead of regulatory changes.
• Analyze P&L by product and channel; implement internal controls and drive cost optimization across supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing.
• Lead working capital optimization by monitoring DSO, DPO, inventory turnover, and cash conversion cycle, including supplier negotiations.
• Prepare investor-ready financials, support due diligence, model growth scenarios, and align financial strategy with investor communications.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent finance qualification; strong grounding in accounting standards and compliance (CA preferred, not mandatory).
• Expertise in end-to-end accounting, financial controls, and statutory compliance across D2C, e-commerce, and retail businesses.
• Strong capabilities in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and rolling cash flow modeling with a clear unit economics focus.
• Deep working knowledge of GST, direct taxation, audits, and Companies Act / ROC compliances.
• Ability to build, interpret, and present MIS, dashboards, and financial models for leadership and investor decision-making.
• Proven analytical strength to drive margin improvement, cost optimization, and working capital efficiency.
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, SKU-level tracking, and operational KPI management.
• Experience supporting investor readiness and due diligence, including scenario modeling and financial storytelling.
• Comfortable working with ERPs, accounting tools, automation, and building scalable finance processes.
