Commercial Excellence Manager We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Excellence Manager to establish and lead our new Commercial Excellence function. This role is crucial in developing and implementing strategies to enhance our sales team's performance, optimize processes, and drive overall commercial excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities Establish and Manage the Commercial Excellence Function Define the vision, mission, objectives and structure of the Sales Excellence team aligned to multi-year strategic plans and annual operating plans Develop a comprehensive strategy to improve sales performance, efficiency and account retention Create and implement standard operating procedures for the new function Sales and Account Performance Monitoring Design and implement a robust sale and account performance monitoring system Support on the ground sales team to initiate, maintain and report on ongoing sales and account performance Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track sales and account effectiveness Develop dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time insights into sales and account performance Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement Sales Support Tools, Software and Training Assess the current sales technology stack and identify areas for improvement Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate sales support tools, software and training, such as Pipedrive or similar CRM systems Lead the implementation, adoption and maintenance of selected tools across the sales organization Sales Training and Development Identify training needs through comprehensive assessments and performance analysis Create and deliver comprehensive training programs, including onboarding for new sales team members Develop market-specific training modules as the company scales to new markets Measure the effectiveness of training programs and continuously refine them Sales Operations Streamline sales processes to increase efficiency and productivity Develop and maintain sales collateral, including pitch decks and commercial proposals Proactively identify and communicate areas for risk and concern for leadership to implement appropriate mitigation support Implement best practices for lead management and sales pipeline optimization Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Annual Business Reviews Establish a framework for conducting effective QBRs Lead and facilitate comprehensive quarterly business reviews Analyze and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and market trends, contextualized around annual and multi-year strategic goals Requirements Proven experience in commercial excellence, performance management, or a similar role Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance data Excellent communication and presentation abilities Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics platforms Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field Key Attributes Proactive and self-motivated with a strong drive for results Structured approach to problem-solving and process improvement Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong influencing skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in establishing a new function The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, drive change, and build a high-performing Commercial Excellence function from the ground up.
