Job Title: Head – HR, Industrial Relations & Administration Location: Kongrakalan Village, Rangareddy district, Hyderabad, Telangana Industry: Smart Metering & Electronics Manufacturing (PCBA) Reports To: Plant Head administratively / HR Head - functional Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to head the HR, Industrial Relations (IR), and Administration functions at our state-of-the-art smart metering manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. This role is pivotal in driving recruitment excellence, fostering employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and maintaining harmonious labor relations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, a proactive approach to operator level talent management, and a commitment to creating a positive workplace culture. S/he must be a local person. Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top talent for both blue-collar and white-collar positions. Collaborate with department heads to forecast manpower requirements and align hiring plans accordingly. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new employees into the organization. 2. Industrial Relations & Compliance Manage labor and ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements. Resolve labor disputes or grievances promptly and efficiently, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies. Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, and factory regulations. Manage external stake holders like Police, Colleges, Training Institutes. 3. Employee Engagement & Retention Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and retention. Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent. Implement performance management systems to align individual goals with organizational objectives. Monitor and analyze exit interviews to identify trends and areas for improvement. 4. Training & Development Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development. Promote continuous learning and professional growth opportunities within the organization. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to meet organizational goals. 5. Administrative Services Oversee day-to-day administrative functions of the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth operations. Manage vendor relationships for plant services and ensure cost-effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of attendance, payroll, and workforce analytics. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations. 6. Budgeting & Reporting Prepare and manage the HR, IR, and administrative services budget, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. Provide timely and accurate reports on HR metrics, industrial relations issues, and administrative performance to senior management.Glassdoor+2Jobaaj+2SimplyHired+2 Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR, IR, and administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in handling union negotiations, industrial relations, and labor disputes. Strong understanding of employment law and labor regulations. Experience in developing HR strategies aligned with business goals in a manufacturing context. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications. Fluency in English and Telugu is preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience in managing a diverse workforce and maintaining harmonious labor relations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Collaborative and approachable leadership style. Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment with a focus on operational efficiency.
