Job Description

The Product Manager – S2P Custom Apps will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of customer-specific applications built on top of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform. This role acts as the primary bridge between customers, internal product stakeholders, and technical development teams - translating customer business scenarios into structured, scalable, and value-driven App solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Requirement Management

  • Engage directly with customers to understand their unique business processes, challenges, and requirements for extending S2P functionality.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs with customer business and IT stakeholders.
  • Evaluate requests for feasibility, scalability, and alignment with the core platform.
  • Translate requirements into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications with acceptance criteria.
  • Present proposed solutions and app designs for customer validation and sign-off.

Product Planning and App Conceptualization

  • Define the vision, objectives, and scope for each custom app.
  • Maintain an App Portfolio and Roadmap covering customer-specific and reusable extensions.
  • Prioritize app development based on business value, complexity, and dependencies.
  • Identify opportunities to productize custom apps for broader reuse across customers.

Collaboration and Delivery Coordination

  • Work closely with Technical Developers to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Partner with Implementation Teams to ensure smooth deployment and customer adoption.
  • Collaborate with the Core Product Team to ensure alignment with product standards, APIs, and platform governance.
  • Facilitate regular stakeholder reviews, status updates, and risk discussions.

Quality Assurance and Go-Live Support

  • Review developed apps for functionality, usability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with customers and resolving feedback.
  • Ensure successful deployment and customer sign-off.
  • Track post-implementation feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes - Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Management, Contract Management, and related workflows.
  • Proven experience engaging directly with customers for requirement gathering and solution design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with customer-facing experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to SaaS / Enterprise application ecosystems and platform integrations.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders in a global environment.

Job Requirement

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Solution Consulting within Procurement / S2P / ERP / SaaS domains.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles involving requirement discovery, validation, or implementation coordination.
  • Shift Requirements: This job requires the candidate to work in night shift supporting US Customers.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Technical and Platform Awareness
  • Familiarity with low-code / no-code platforms, API integrations, or workflow automation frameworks.
  • Understanding cloud and SaaS architecture, especially integration with ERPs like SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
  • Comfort working with UI/UX design concepts and reviewing wireframes or prototypes.
S2P Domain Expertise
  • Experience with leading platforms such as Zycus, Coupa, Ivalua, Ariba, or Jaggaer.
  • Understanding of procurement compliance, approval hierarchies, and supplier enablement.
Productization & Innovation
  • Experience identifying repeatable customer use cases and building reusable app templates or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking or Lean Product Management practices.
Customer Engagement Excellence
  • Skilled in running requirement workshops or joint application design (JAD) sessions.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities for business and IT audiences.
Delivery Agility
  • Certification or hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum / SAFe frameworks.
  • Experience managing parallel app development initiatives with tight deadlines.
Analytical & Continuous Improvement Mindset
  • Ability to define and monitor app KPIs (adoption, performance, usability).
  • Exposure to process automation, analytics, or AI/ML-enhanced procurement solutions.
Success Indicators
  • High customer satisfaction with delivered app functionality and timelines.
  • Reusability or scalability of developed apps across multiple customer accounts.
  • Effective collaboration across customer, product, development, and implementation teams.
  • Timely delivery of custom apps aligned with business needs and quality expectations.
