About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Operations Associate to support the end-to-end employee lifecycle and day-to-day HR operations. This role is essential in maintaining operational excellence across onboarding, offboarding, leave & attendance management, and HRMS administration. You will work closely with the Sr. Manager - Human Resources to ensure data integrity, timely processing, and exceptional employee experience during critical lifecycle events. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to HR operations in a fast-growing, scaling organization with 250+ employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Boarding & Onboarding: Process offer documents, employment contracts, and background verification. Coordinate new hire documentation and induction sessions.
  • Attendance & Leave Management: Administer daily attendance tracking and leave applications through the HRMS. Ensure accurate leave balance calculations, process leave approvals, and maintain compliance with company leave policies. Generate weekly/monthly attendance reports.
  • Offboarding: Coordinate exit procedures including asset recovery, final settlements, knowledge transfer documentation, and conduct exit interviews. Update records and maintain exit documentation files.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information on the HRMS platform. Process personnel changes (promotions, transfers, designation changes) and update relevant records.
  • Manage daily data entry, updates, and maintenance in the HRIS/HRMS platform and take the ownership of the HR dashboards.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, leave rules, benefits, and operational procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute HR communications (policy updates, payroll information, statutory notifications) and maintain HR documentation, filing systems, and compliance records.
  • Assist in organizing HR initiatives (employee engagement programs, training sessions, wellness activities).
  • Support the development, refinement, and documentation of HR processes and policies, identifying opportunities for streamlining and assisting with testing new HR tools and system implementations to develop process improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure HR compliance with company policies, labor laws, and data privacy, including support for statutory reporting and submissions.


Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Prior experience in HR Operations — employee lifecycle management, leaves and attendance management, PMS and so on — preferably in a growing or startup environment.
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS/HRIS tools (e.g., Zoho People, Keka, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and basic HR compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capability to manage multiple priorities with a quick learner, proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.


Nice to Have

  • Experience designing performance management systems (PMS) or appraisal cycles.
  • Exposure to payroll processing or benefits administration.
  • Experience with HR policy drafting or process documentation.
  • Understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in media, content production, or fast-paced tech environments.
  • Familiarity with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) or recruitment processes.
