Description
Head – Human Resources
The HR Head will be responsible for strategically building and managing the organization’s
human capital, with a focus on hiring leadership roles, creating high-performance teams, and
ensuring statutory compliance across all units. The role demands leadership in talent
acquisition, employee lifecycle management, performance frameworks, and HR compliance,
along with managing payroll, employee engagement, and statutory audits.
This position will work closely with the MD and senior leadership to align the workforce with
the company’s strategic goals and growth trajectory..
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Leadership Hiring
• Develop a robust recruitment strategy for leadership, mid-level, and operational
positions.
• Build a strong pipeline of high-potential candidates using industry networks, referrals,
and headhunting.
• Conduct competency-based interviews for leadership roles.
• Partner with functional heads to identify manpower needs proactively.
• Ensure new hires are culturally aligned and capable of delivering results quickly.
2. Workforce Planning & Team Building
• Create an annual manpower plan aligned to business growth targets.
• Facilitate succession planning for critical leadership roles.
• Develop leadership development programs to groom internal talent.
• Drive team-building initiatives to improve collaboration and reduce attrition.
3. HR Compliance & Statutory Audits
• Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC,
Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act, Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc.).
• Manage and coordinate all statutory HR audits; maintain zero non-compliance reports.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation for audit readiness.
4. Payroll & Employee Benefits Management
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage full & final settlements, bonus calculations, gratuity, and leave encashments.
• Review employee benefit schemes to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
5. Performance Management & Employee Engagement
• Implement structured KPI/KRA frameworks for all roles.
• Monitor performance reviews and provide coaching to managers on performance
discussions.
• Build employee engagement programs to improve morale and retention.
6. HR Policies & Process Excellence
• Formulate, review, and update HR policies in line with industry best practices and legal
requirements.
• Standardize onboarding, induction, and exit processes.
• Drive HR digitization initiatives (HRMS implementation, e-records).
Skills & Competencies
• Proven track record in leadership hiring and team building.
• Strong understanding of HR compliance and statutory regulations in India.
• Expertise in payroll management and labor law audits.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Educational & Experience Requirements
• MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
• 10–15 years of HR experience.
• Experience in the agriculture, manufacturing, or FMCG sector preferred.
KPIs for Success in Role
• Time-to-fill leadership roles ≤ 60 days.
• 100% compliance in statutory HR audits.
• Payroll accuracy at 100% with zero delayed payments.
• Leadership attrition < 5% annually.
