NewBridge Fintech Solutions – Head of Engineering We are looking for a Head of Engineering to drive production and key strategic development, with a hands-on approach and ability to lead a team of internal and external teams. About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT professional , with hands on engineering and a proven track record of building and scaling robust, secure, and high-performance technology platforms, particularly within the financial services and fintech sectors. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and growth objectives. Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, including cloud engineering, info sec , SDLC processes, B2B SaaS business Technology Architecture and Development: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable software and infrastructure solutions. Architect global applications and multi-tenant SaaS platforms based on cloud-native, microservices, and RESTful architectures. Lead the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security. Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and agile methodologies. Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and maintain scalable, resilient, robust and highly available cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS using technologies like Terraform aligned with the well architected framework supporting a multi region setup for BCP/DR. Manage and implement CI/CD pipelines Cybersecurity and Compliance: Establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity posture, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001,GDPR) Implement security baselines and controls for cloud infrastructure, network, and applications. Lead the implementation of a "security by design" approach, incorporating security considerations into all stages of the SDLC. Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response. · Implementation & Deployment: o Supervise recruitment, training, and organization of all development staff related to the technology, building a lean tech organisation structure and implementing the best SDLC practises o Review current best practices and review the info sec, architecture and infrastructure of the platform complying with global institutional standards. o Define, implement and monitor the company's software development methodology and applicable policies. o Establish and supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and automation of system testing with applications like Rest Assured, others. o Select, deploy, and monitor performance profiling tools and procedures. o Monitor application performance and review any application failures in staging or production. o Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization. Data Management and Analytics: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, encompassing data warehousing, data lakes, and operational databases. Explore and implement Generative AI and LLM solutions to support business objectives. Team Leadership and Management: Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and expertise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication. Manage global and diverse teams effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in 1 IT, with a focus on software development, architecture, and leadership. 5+ years of experience in the financial services or fintech sector. Subject matter expert of AWS Cloud infrastructure with proven roven expertise in designing and implementing secure and scalable software and infrastructure solutions. Deep knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and related technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, React, Java Spring Boot, Python, Kafka, Redis, Postgres, Terraform) · Hands-on 10+ years experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework. - preferably Java, SpringBoot, Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks.. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
