Head of Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of

  software developers

  systems architects

  DevOps professionals

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  
• Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and nurture top-tier engineering talent.
  

Technology Strategy & Execution:

• Define and execute the technology strategy to align with business goals and lending objectives.
  
• Oversee the development and enhancement of lending platforms, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  
• Guide the design and implementation of new features, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  

Product Development:

• Manage the entire product development lifecycle from conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  
• Collaborate with product management, data analytics, and cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric solutions.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all product development processes.
  

IT Infrastructure & Operations:

• Oversee the management of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premises systems, and hybrid infrastructures to ensure platform reliability.
  
• Implement best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, and system monitoring to improve platform performance.
  
• Ensure that all technology systems are secure and meet data protection laws.
  

Customer Support & Service:

• Ensure technology solutions meet customer expectations and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs).
  
• Address and resolve technical issues that impact customer satisfaction.
  
• Work closely with support teams to resolve customer queries and issues.
  

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure engineering practices comply with financial regulations and data protection laws.
  
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive financial and customer data.
  
• Identify and mitigate potential technological and operational risks.
  

Project Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  
• Track KPIs to measure project success and engineering team performance.
  
• Manage project resources and timelines effectively to ensure successful outcomes.
  

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the

  financial services

  or

  lending domain

  .
• Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering complex, scalable technology solutions.
  
• Experience in developing and managing

  SME lending platforms

  or similar financial systems.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in

  software architecture
