Position title: Finance & Compliance Manager
Job Location: Jaipur

Education:
Chartered Accountant or BCom from a Tier 1 institute, having complete control over accounting, internal control proces,s and statutory compliances.

Experience
  • B. Com with 12- 15 years of experience or CA with at least 6-8 years post-qualifying experience
  • Experience in handling investor queries and investor reporting.
  • Experience of having worked with companies across multiple jurisdictions would be a strong plus
  • Experience of having overseen the work of a company secretarial team and taxation team would be a plus

Job Requirements and Skills:

The Finance and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial and compliance-related activities for the company. This role involves ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, bookkeeping, managing financial risks, and ensuring adherence to local and international regulatory requirements. The position requires a deep understanding of financial and compliance regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior management and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Execution
  • Providing financial guidance and support to the management team
  • Monitoring and controlling costs to ensure profitability – developing standard reporting formats/dashboards to avoid manual intervention
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive financial performance

Periodical Review of Books of Accounts:
  • Conduct regular reviews of the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, including proposed subsidiaries in the UAE and the US.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of financial processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records

Statutory Compliance:
  • Ensure timely compliance with monthly and quarterly statutory requirements related to TDS, GST, and other applicable taxes.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with extant FEMA regulations for exports, transactions with overseas subsidiaries, including periodic reporting.

Tax Planning and Payment:
  • Prepare advance tax calculations and ensure timely payments within due dates to avoid penalties or interest charges.
  • Ensure appropriate GST compliance
  • Ensure appropriate transfer pricing compliance
  • The responsibility shall be to ensure that work is carried out effectively by advisors and to develop the internal team to take care of the same in the future

Coordination with Consultants:
  • Act as a primary point of contact for consultants handling Income Tax assessments, GST audits, notices, and refunds.
  • Provide necessary information and support to consultants

Financial Statements Preparation:
  • Prepare financial statements of the company by the Schedule of the Companies Act 2013, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
  • Managing the budgeting process and ensuring that financial targets are met
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate & timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, & cash flow statements.
  • Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, G, L, and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue

Recognition.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and reporting variances
  • Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports

Audit Assistance:
  • Assist statutory auditors throughout the audit process by providing relevant information and supporting documents as required.

Offshore Company Compliance:
  • Oversee compliance requirements applicable to offshore companies associated with the organization
  • Negotiating FC rates for overseas remittance

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Represent the executive team in high-level meetings with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings for the CEO and other senior leaders.
  • All compliances and reportings as per the SHA with Investors
  • Assisting the management in negotiating contracts with Vendors/suppliers, pursuing market study for new markets as required, and presenting the analytical summary to enable decision making, brainstorming on strategies to grow business and different markets.

Getting it done
  • Address and resolve issues raised by stakeholders in various forums, working closely with different functions.
