Job Requirements and Skills: About the Job:

To build, automate, and scale internal tools using Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and App-Sheet, enabling efficient workflows, data accuracy, and process transparency across teams. The role focuses on automating repetitive tasks, reducing manual work, and empowering non-technical teams with user-friendly digital solutions.

Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level Google Sheets (formulas, dashboards, controls, data modelling).
  • Strong command over Google Apps Script (JavaScript-based) for scripting and automation.
  • Proficient in App-Sheet (UX design, workflows, expressions, access rules).
  • Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and REST-based integrations (optional but a plus).
  • Understanding of databases, relational data structures, and form-driven data collection.

Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into digital tools.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Project ownership mindset with attention to detail and consistency.

Major responsibilities: Automation strategies and execution:
  • Analyze, map, and optimize business processes across departments.
  • Identify automation opportunities and design solutions using Google Apps Script (Sheets, Forms, Docs, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain custom tools, dashboards, and workflows within Google Workspace.
  • Implement KPIs and monitoring mechanisms to track process performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective, user-friendly automation tools.

Google Sheets Automation & Advanced Use:
  • Develop dynamic and responsive Google Sheets dashboards with advanced formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, and dependent drop-downs, Interactive controls like checkboxes, slicers, and filters etc.
  • Automate data flows and reports using Google Apps Script (e.g., auto-email triggers, scheduled reports, data consolidation).
  • Set up collaborative and access-controlled sheets for cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, production, HR, store, etc.).

2. AppSheet Development:
  • Build custom apps using App-Sheet for functions like Inventory and asset tracking, Leave & attendance tracking, Purchase request and approval workflows, Task delegation and status dashboards, etc.
  • Integrate App-Sheet apps with Google Sheets and real-time back-end databases.
  • Configure role-based access, UX personalization, and user forms with smart logic.

3. Process Automation & Systems Integration:
  • Identify manual tasks within the company and suggest automation solutions using Google Workspace tools.
  • Automate multi-step workflows involving Sheets, Forms, Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and external tools via Apps Script or webhook/API.
  • Integrate with third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp API, CRMs, Slack, Tally, and ERP systems) if required.

4. Documentation, Maintenance, and Support:
  • Maintain proper documentation of workflows, scripts, app structures, and change logs.
  • Monitor the performance and stability of existing automations and tools.
  • Train users and create user manuals or SOPs for adoption and handover.

5. Data Management & Governance
  • Design and maintain robust data structures for internal tools and apps.
  • Implement data governance policies, including access control, versioning, and retention.
  • Define standardized file/folder path nomenclature for seamless data retrieval.
  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and validation across platforms and tools.
  • Set up and maintain structured data formats for NAS storage, ensuring alignment with team workflows.
  • Coordinate with IT and operations to ensure regular backups and secure access to NAS directories.

Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or any technical discipline.
Certifications in Google Workspace tools, AppSheet, or low-code platforms (preferred but not mandatory).
