  • Security & Compliance: Embed SSO/OIDC, OAuth2, secrets management, RBAC/ABAC; ensure auditability and policy adherence in code and infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate status/RAID, align priorities, manage expectations; coordinate with product, security, data, and platform teams.
  • Cost & Performance Governance: Track run-time spend, capacity, and latency; drive optimizations (caching, routing, autoscaling).
  • Vendor & Tooling Oversight: Evaluate platforms/tools; manage licenses and vendor engagements; standardize developer experience (DX) toolchains.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in software engineering with 3-5+ years leading teams as an EM/ADM/Tech Lead.

  • CI/CD & IaC: GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins; Terraform/CloudFormation; artifact/versioning and environment promotion gates.
  • Observability & Reliability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch; resiliency patterns (retries/backoff, circuit breakers, bulkheads).
  • Security by Design: OIDC/OAuth2, secrets vaults, least-privilege access, dependency scanning/SBOM, secure SDLC practices.
  • Agile Delivery: Backlog management, sprint rituals, estimation, and metrics (throughput, lead time, change fail rate).

Good to Have Skills

  • AI/Knowledge Systems: Familiarity with LLM-powered services, retrieval (RAG), vector/graph stores, and evaluation harnesses.
  • Architecture Practices: Domain-driven design, hexagonal/clean architecture, event sourcing, saga/orchestration patterns.
  • Platform & Networking: Service mesh, API gateways, zero-trust networking, feature flags, blue/green & canary releases.
  • Quality Engineering: Contract testing (Pact), performance testing (k6/JMeter), chaos testing; TDD/BDD practices.
  • Governance & Compliance: Exposure to SOC 2/ISO 27001 change control, audit readiness, and regulated-industry SDLC.
