Application Development Manager

Role Overview: You will be responsible for strengthening the Technical Service function catering to Auto OEM, CV, and Industrial business in India. Your main focus will be on driving business development and retention of existing customers through timely line support, color support, and troubleshooting. You will engage with major OEMs such as HMIL, RN, IZUZU, MSIL, M&M, IFB, Legrand, LG, Plasser, Volvo, and large OEM Tier applicators across India. Your role will involve relationship management with Key Applicators, Tier 1, and OEM Design teams, implementing new product introductions per OEM specifications, system implementation, training at the applicator end, handling customer complaints through the technical service team, and commercial quality management. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the technical service team and implement new products associated with business segments - Stay informed about new technology in the market and collaborate with product development and marketing - Work closely with R&D and Quality Assurance teams - Follow up on new projects and obtain approvals based on business needs - Represent Akzo in OEM discussions alongside the commercial team - Provide support to the sales team in training and development - Lead the Commercial Quality function - Drive OEM approvals for NPIs and conduct OEM Audits - Conduct training for the sales team - Implement NPIs in Applicator lines Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in handling plastic painting, services, and business development - Hands-on experience in paint spraying, shade matching, and complaint handling in applicator lines (plastic painting) - Knowledge of CRM - Degree or Diploma in Paint/Surface Coating Technology - Degree in Chemical Engineering or MSC Chemistry Note: This job description is for a position at AkzoNobel, a company that has been providing innovative paints and coatings since 1792.
