About The Role

The Senior HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that OnebyZero’s HR processes run smoothly and effectively, from onboarding to performance cycles and capability development.This role is ideal for someone who can balance operational precision with strategic depth — ensuring compliance, managing employee lifecycle activities, and enabling the organization to build and retain top talent.

What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Have

  • Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all HR operations including onboarding, exits, employee confirmations, documentation, and contract renewals.
  • Ensure accuracy of HR records, data, and dashboards across systems (HRIS, payroll, and SharePoint).
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee queries on HR policies, benefits, and processes, resolving matters with clarity and empathy.
  • Liaise with Finance for payroll inputs, bonus calculations, and statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, tax, etc.).
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and support managers in interpreting and implementing them consistently.
  • Draft and issue HR communications — letters, memos, and policy circulars.
  • Coordinate with external partners (insurance, benefits vendors, recruitment agencies) where applicable.
  • Monthly / Quarterly Responsibilities
  • Performance Management:
  • Drive ongoing performance review check-ins with business managers.
  • Track goals, ensure documentation completeness, and support feedback calibration.
  • Partner with managers to identify underperformance and initiate Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) where needed.
  • Talent & Capability:
  • Support identification of training needs; coordinate internal or external learning programs.
  • Track and measure training effectiveness.
  • Engagement & Culture:
  • Design and execute monthly engagement and recognition programs across geographies.
  • Conduct HR pulse checks and propose interventions where morale or engagement dips.
  • Support the leadership team on communication cascades and culture initiatives.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
  • Generate monthly HR metrics — headcount, attrition, joiners/leavers, performance trends, and engagement participation.
  • Present insights and action plans to the Head – People & Culture.
  • Payroll & Compliance:
  • Review payroll inputs for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory filings and audits in collaboration with Finance.
  • Annual Responsibilities
  • Performance & Appraisal Cycle:
  • Anchor the annual performance management process — goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews.
  • Prepare data for appraisal calibration, compensation benchmarking, and promotions.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure fairness and transparency in performance ratings.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
  • Support the annual salary revision process, bonus allocation, and communication rollout.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking exercises periodically to ensure competitiveness.
  • Talent Planning:
  • Support succession planning and career pathing aligned with OnebyZero’s Career Track Framework.
  • Work with managers to identify high-potential talent and create development plans.
  • Policy & Compliance:
  • Review, update, and implement HR policies annually, ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws across operating countries.
  • Prepare for and support internal or external HR audits.
  • Engagement & Recognition:
  • Drive the annual employee engagement survey and subsequent action planning.
  • Plan and execute company-wide events, leadership townhalls, and milestone celebrations.

Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Table

Must-Have Skills:

  • 9–10 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in IT services or technology consulting firms.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, talent development, and HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, payroll compliance, and employee relations.
  • Skilled in data-driven HR reporting and analytics.
  • Experience working in multi-country setups (ASEAN/India preferred) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on, structured, and self-directed professional who can balance detail with strategy.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach, prioritizing effectively amid multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a high level of resilience.
