About the Role


HR Operations Specialist


Responsibilities


  • Design and execute end-to-end onboarding, from background verification to joining-day induction.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all new joiner queries, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.
  • Handle checklists, documentation, handovers, and full & final settlements during off-boarding.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate HR data and employee records in HRIS/HRMS systems.
  • Proactively audit and improve data integrity and process compliance.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, letters, and HR documents in line with labor laws and company policy.
  • Support company readiness for audits and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with finance on pay structures, appraisal systems, and payroll data.
  • Communicate, enforce, and update all HR and employee policies (handbooks, leave, attendance, POSH, etc.).
  • Manage or help implement HR technology—ATS/HRMS—and drive automation of people processes.
  • Identify bottlenecks and contribute to HR workflow enhancements, process documentation, and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and act as a trusted policy and people process resource.


Qualifications & Required Skills


  • 3–5 years full-time experience in People Operations or HR Operations roles, including onboarding and HRIS/HRMS management.
  • Direct experience managing the employee life cycle in a 100–200 employee company —preferably in media, agency, or a tech organization.
  • Proven understanding of Indian labor laws; hands-on experience drafting/reviewing employment contracts and compliance documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of pay structure, compensation components, and appraisal documentation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with at least one ATS and digital employee data systems.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and driven to improve processes.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience implementing or upgrading HR tech (HRMS/ATS) in a fast-growing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in rolling out new or improved systems — onboarding, appraisal, or workflow.
  • Exposure to policy/handbook design, audit prep, or employee engagement/culture initiatives.
  • Analytical and change-driven mindset; keen to find and fix process inefficiencies.
