Job Description

The role is with a leading financial services organization based in Mumbai, India.


Role Overview:

The role will oversee all aspects of Human Resources for a large, multi-location financial services organization. This includes strategic HR leadership, talent acquisition, workforce planning, HR governance, compensation & benefits, employee relations, performance management, L&D, and culture building.


Responsibilities

1.Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Define and execute HR strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
  • Partner with CXOs on workforce planning, organisation design, capability building, and leadership decisions.
  • Drive senior hiring, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Lead organisation-wide change and transformation initiatives.

2. Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning & Onboarding

  • Lead hiring across sales, operations, corporate, finance, and technology.
  • Build strong hiring pipelines for mid–senior and leadership roles.
  • Oversee manpower planning, headcount forecasting, and internal movement.
  • Strengthen onboarding to ensure smooth integration and early productivity.

3. Compensation, Benefits, Compliance & Governance

  • Manage compensation structures, salary benchmarking, incentives, and rewards.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and financial services regulatory requirements.
  • Establish strong HR governance, audits, SOPs, and risk-control frameworks.
  • Standardise HR processes across all locations.

4. Employee Relations, Culture & Engagement

  • Build a values-driven, inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Lead communication, engagement, recognition, and well-being programs.
  • Manage grievance redressal and employee support mechanisms.
  • Strengthen employer branding across levels.

5. Performance Management, L&D & Leadership Development

  • Lead performance cycles, OKRs/KPIs, appraisals, and talent reviews.
  • Drive L&D programs: compliance, technical, behavioural, and leadership.
  • Build internal talent pipelines through succession planning and leadership programs.

6. HR Operations, Technology & Analytics

  • Oversee HR operations, payroll governance, HRIS, and data management.
  • Drive HR digitisation and adoption of modern HR tech platforms.
  • Use analytics for insights on attrition, productivity, compensation, and engagement.
  • Improve HR processes for scale, efficiency, and operational excellence.


Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • MBA / PGDM in HR, MHRM, MSW or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5–7 years in senior HR leadership roles in financial services, BFSI, fintech, NBFCs, banks, or similar high-regulation, multi-location industries.
  • Proven experience managing HR for a large workforce (1000+ employees) across diverse functions and regions.
  • Strong understanding of labour laws, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.

  • Expertise in talent management, organisation development, employee relations, and change management.
