Commercial Underwriter

The role is with a leading General Insurance Company.

Locations - Agra, Amritsar, Goa, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Srinagar, Tirunelveli.

Responsibilities

• Driving the underwriting formulation and setting up of processes for the function.
• Preparation of product policy wordings, underwriting guidelines, rating structure & schedule & other relevant documents for filing of products with IRDA.
• Interacting with Marketing for review/follow-up and finalising underwriting guidelines for all products.
• Responsible for building, maintaining and developing relationships with Channel Partners to retain renewals and generate new business as per the underwriting compliance and philosophy of the organisation.
• Deliver timely underwriting decisions, manage accounts, maintain a profitable business mix, explore new business avenues and contribute to business development activities.
• Active engagement in the identification, prioritisation, negotiation and conversion of new account relationships in line with agreed business strategies.
• Advise, guide and train Sales/Channel partners on various lines of business to enhance their knowledge in the domain.

Qualifications

• Engineers Preferred
