dotsupply is a global B2B sourcing platform (of ideazmeet) that connects U.S. and international buyers with vetted Indian & SEA manufacturers, providing managed, end-to-end support from RFQ to delivery.


What do we need?

  • You’ll be the single point of contact (“owner”) for buyer accounts; from RFQ evaluation and costings to supplier shortlisting, negotiations, production follow-through, quality checks, and logistics/dispatch.
  • Be the buyer’s trusted on-ground partner who navigates India’s (& SEA’s) supplier ecosystem and delivers right-first-time outcomes for the Buyers.


What will you do?

RFQ Intake & Scoping

  • Translate RFQs into clear specs/BOMs, QA requirements, quantities, and timelines.
  • Review drawings/CAD, materials, finishing, and packaging; flag feasibility risks and alternatives.

 

Sourcing & Supplier Shortlisting

  • Identify, evaluate, and shortlist suppliers by capability, capacity, certifications, cost, and lead time.
  • Run RFI/RFP processes; maintain a bench of backup suppliers across categories/industries.

 

Costing & Negotiation

  • Build landed-cost models (EXW/FOB/CIF/DDP), optimize MOQs/tooling, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and SLAs.
  • Drive commercial closure while protecting margin and risk.

 

Work Orders & Production Follow-through

  • Convert RFQs to WOs/POs, publish production plans, and track milestones (proto → pilot → mass).
  • Resolve bottlenecks on materials, tooling, and change requests with suppliers.

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Define quality plans (AQL, sampling, PPAP/APQP where relevant).
  • Coordinate inspections (DIM, FAI, in-process, pre-dispatch), NCR/CAPA closures, and supplier audits.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with ISO 9001/14001, social compliance, and buyer-specific standards.

 

Logistics & Dispatch Management

  • Finalize INCO terms, arrange freight (air/sea), coordinate with forwarders, and ensure correct shipping docs (invoice, packing list, COO, HS codes, etc.).
  • Track shipments end-to-end, ensure OTIF delivery, and manage claims if needed.

 

Buyer Communication & Trust

  • Own weekly updates, risk registers, and change logs; run crisp, data-backed comms.
  • Be proactive—highlight risks early and propose options.

 

Data, Tools & Reporting

  • Maintain supplier scorecards and cost databases; keep CRM/PM tools updated with milestones.
  • Report on savings, OTIF, PPM/defect rates, and cycle times.



You have should have:

 

  • 7–12 years in sourcing/vendor management/supply chain in manufacturing.
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, assembly) and ability to read technical drawings/BOMs.
  • Hands-on negotiation experience and comfort with landed-cost models & INCO terms.
  • Working knowledge of QA tools (AQL, PPAP, APQP, SPC) and inspection workflows.
  • Familiarity with export logistics, customs documentation, and freight coordination.
  • Tools: Microsoft 365 (Excel—advanced with formulas/Power Query/Power Pivot; PowerPoint; Word), SharePoint/OneDrive; Power BI for reporting; CRM (Microsoft Dynamics/Zoho); project tools (Microsoft Project/Planner); QC/inspection apps.
  • Excellent written & spoken English; crisp stakeholder communication.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier audits, trials, and pre-dispatch inspections.


Good to Have:

  • Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / APICS CSCP / ISO 9001 auditor exposure.
  • Category depth in any of: precision machined parts, fasteners, castings, fabrication, wire harnesses, PCBAs, packaging.
