Role Overview We are seeking senior-level mechanics (20+ years experience) with deep expertise in vehicle overhauls, diagnostics, powertrain rebuilds, and drivetrain reengineering. This is a strategic role embedded in A-THONs core platform development lifecycle contributing to field durability, mission-readiness, and engineering intelligence. Special Priority: Creative and hands-on individuals with a proven track record of troubleshooting will be given preference. Candidates should be adept at diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and integrated system challenges in real time whether in workshop conditions or remote, demanding field environments. Veterans from Army Vehicle Maintenance Divisions (Ex-EME, ASC, BRO, or Armed Forces Workshops) are strongly encouraged to apply. Your experience in maintaining high-resilience platforms under extreme terrain and combat conditions is of national value to A-THONs defense mobility vision. Key Responsibilities: 1. Overhaul & Diagnostics Teardown, rebuild, and calibrate complex subsystems: transmission, CVT, 4x4 hubs, differentials, hydraulic brakes. Perform multi-point diagnostics and fault identification across ICE and electrically assisted systems. 2. Platform Specialization Engage directly with A-THON platforms : ASHVA 4x4, ADVIK, ADBHUTBot, RAKSHAK. Rebuild integrated winch systems, modular arms, electronic shifters, e-throttle, field recovery tools. 3. Mentorship & SOP Development Develop structured workshop SOPs , maintenance schedules, and teardown manuals. Mentor and upskill young recruits and service technicians. 4. Engineering Feedback Provide root cause insights and collaborate with engineering on recurring failure points, terrain load mismatches, or mechanical-electrical integration issues. 5. Field Trial Support Deploy as platform lead for field trials, durability tests, and rugged terrain interventions including high-altitude, flood-prone, or heat-intensive zones. Diagnostic Accuracy: Maintain at least 95% accuracy in fault identification. Vehicle Downtime Reduction: Reduce downtime to 15% or more below the benchmark level. SOP Quality Contribution: Contribute to standard operating procedures, with reviews conducted quarterly by the Engineering team.
