Job Title: Senior Operations – Logistics & Inventory Location: Kudlu Gate, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Operations to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategically managing the flow of goods from manufacturing to customer delivery for both B2C and B2B (E-Com & Q-Com) channels, ensuring efficient warehousing, accurate inventory control, effective planning, and continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency and cost optimization. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in supply chain management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: B2C & B2B (E-Com & Q-Com) Shipment Management: Oversee and optimize the entire B2C order fulfillment process, including last-mile delivery, courier partnerships, and customer delivery experience. Manage and streamline B2B (E-Com & Q-Com) shipment logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to business clients, distributors, and partners. Develop and implement strategies to minimize shipping costs while maintaining high service levels for both B2C and B2B (E-Com & Q-Com). Monitor and analyze shipping performance metrics (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, damage rates) and implement corrective actions. Finished Goods Warehouse Operations: Manage and optimize all aspects of finished goods warehousing, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. Implement best practices for warehouse layout, material handling, and inventory placement to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within the warehouse environment. Oversee warehouse staffing, training, and performance management. Inventory Management: Develop and implement robust inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize obsolescence, and maximize inventory turns across all warehouses (finished goods, CNF). Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy. Implement demand forecasting techniques and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align inventory with sales forecasts. Manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory to minimize financial impact. CNF (Consignment & Forwarding) Warehouse Management: Manage operations at CNF warehouses, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound processes, accurate inventory tracking, and adherence to contractual agreements. Collaborate with CNF partners to optimize logistics, reduce transit times, and enhance service quality. Monitor CNF performance against agreed-upon KPIs and address any deviations. Supply Chain Planning: Lead the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to align demand forecasts with production and supply capabilities. Develop and manage production schedules in collaboration with manufacturing teams. Implement effective capacity planning to meet future demand requirements. Develop contingency plans for potential supply chain disruptions. Supply Chain Efficiency & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement Lean/Six Sigma principles across the supply chain. Utilize data analytics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction. Implement and leverage supply chain technology (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP modules) to enhance operational efficiency and visibility. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance speed, accuracy, and reliability of supply chain operations. Supply Chain Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to reduce overall supply chain costs, including transportation, warehousing, inventory holding, and labor. Negotiate favorable terms with logistics providers, suppliers, and warehousing partners. Conduct regular cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings without compromising service quality. Manage budgets effectively for all supply chain functions. Vendor/Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key logistics partners, freight forwarders, couriers, and warehouse providers. Evaluate and select new vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and service levels. Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular business reviews. Risk Management & Compliance: Identify potential supply chain risks (e.g., geopolitical, natural disasters, supplier failures) and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international trade regulations, customs procedures, and transportation laws. Implement and maintain robust quality control processes throughout the supply chain. Technology & Data Analytics: Proficiency in leveraging ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions. Experience with business intelligence tools for supply chain performance monitoring. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence within the team. Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Production, Finance, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives. Act as a key liaison between various departments to optimize the order-to-delivery cycle. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 4+years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on both B2C and B2B (E-Com & Q-Com) logistics. Proven experience in managing warehouse operations (finished goods and CNF). Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, demand planning, and S&OP processes. Strong understanding of supply chain technologies (ERP, WMS, TMS). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent are a plus.
