Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead and optimize all aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, and productivity. You will be responsible for managing production processes, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining budget control and operational efficiency.The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the Motion business for Traction division based in Vadodara, IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading operational excellence by ensuring HSE compliance, maintaining high safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Overseeing quality assurance and compliance by ensuring adherence to ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Managing factory operations including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards and on-time delivery performance.
- Preparing and managing the annual production budget, monitoring financial performance, and implementing corrective actions to ensure operations remain within budget and resource constraints.
- Building and developing high-performing teams through effective leadership, coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Driving inventory optimization by managing material flow, coordinating with procurement and logistics, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support production needs.
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field, with minimum 12 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably in electrical equipment or related industries.
- Proven expertise in operational management including production planning, capacity management, workflow optimization, and demonstrated success in achieving operational KPIs and driving performance improvements.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with ability to inspire teams, manage change effectively, resolve conflicts, and develop talent in a diverse, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies and track record of successful implementation.
- Deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), with commitment to maintaining compliance and fostering a culture of safety and quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), MS Office, and data analysis tools, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
