What We are looking Key Responsibilities- Project Management- Oversee all operational aspects of manufacturing projects from inception to completion. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure timely completion. Production Planning & Control- Develop detailed production plans and schedules based on project specifications. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate project timelines, resource constraints, and unforeseen delays. Ensure that all manufacturing activities are executed efficiently and meet the project goals. Team Leadership & Management- Lead, supervise, and mentor cross-functional teams including production staff, project engineers, quality control personnel, and supply chain teams. Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure optimal resource utilization. Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage employee development programs. Supply Chain & Inventory Management- Oversee procurement and materials management, ensuring timely availability of raw materials and components. Collaborate with suppliers to meet project demands while maintaining cost controls and quality. Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance cost and availability. Resource Allocation: Manage allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of resources. Process Optimization: Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations. Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and client specifications. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement quality control processes. Address and resolve any quality issues promptly. Budget Management: Prepare and manage operational budgets. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Provide regular financial reports to senior management. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits. Address any safety incidents promptly and effectively. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution. Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance. Handle client inquiries and resolve any operational issues. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all operations comply. Manage audits and certifications as required by regulatory bodies. Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency. Ensure staff are trained on any new systems or equipment. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry. Proven experience in project-based manufacturing environments. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and project management methodologies. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and ERP systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
