Job Summary: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the diagnostic centre to ensure smooth workflow, efficient patient services, staff coordination, and compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires leadership, process improvement, and strong problem-solving skills to deliver excellence in patient experience and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Management: Supervise and manage all daily operations of the diagnostic centre. Ensure smooth coordination between departments – reception, billing, phlebotomy, radiology, pathology, and support staff. Monitor and maintain turnaround time (TAT) for reports and patient services. Oversee inventory management, consumables, and vendor coordination. 2. Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to NABH / NABL standards and statutory regulations. Monitor and maintain hygiene, safety, and quality protocols. Conduct regular audits and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 3. Customer Service: Maintain a patient-centric approach and ensure high satisfaction levels. Handle escalations and resolve patient grievances efficiently. Implement feedback systems to continuously improve service quality. 4. Staff Management: Supervise, guide, and motivate staff across all departments. Plan duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower during all shifts. Conduct regular staff meetings, training, and performance reviews. 5. Financial & Administrative Control: Monitor revenue, billing accuracy, and cost control measures. Support management in budgeting and forecasting. Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and MIS reporting. 6. Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with doctors, consultants, and lab teams for smooth operations. Liaise with corporate clients, TPA, and insurance partners. Submit daily/weekly/monthly operational reports to senior management. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. In-depth understanding of diagnostic operations and healthcare workflows. Problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and diagnostic software (LIS/HIS).
