About the Role : We are looking for a passionate operations and supply chain management expert who will own building and scaling multiple parts of our global supply chain. Our customers depend on us to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of their goods. The operations team is responsible to deliver this experience by working with multiple stakeholders in India and across the world. Key Responsibilities: Run daily stand-ups to track supply operations. This includes auditing and improving key metrics/ SLAs, consolidating updates on all shipments, and root causing any shipment delays/ issues. Collaborate with supply chain partners and internal teams to create, implement, maintain and iterate on supply chain efficiency improvement initiatives Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on shipment booking and tracking Manage shipment documentation, ensuring they adhere to SOPs and are correct for shipment movement Manage customer escalations and ensure timely resolutions that exceed customer’s expectations Stay up to date on lane level requirements from the supply side and update SOPs whenever needed Stay connected with customers to understand gaps in our existing products and recommend/ make required changes to ensure a world class shipment experience What are we looking for? About the Role: The Export Operations Lead will oversee all day-to-day export operational activities for ocean shipments out of India, ensuring seamless execution, compliance, and exceptional service levels. This person will manage the ops team, troubleshoot real-time issues, coordinate with vendors and carriers, and drive continuous process improvements. You will play a critical role in maintaining operational stability during peak season and supporting rapid business growth across trade lanes. Responsibilities: Operational Execution Oversee end-to-end export shipment execution (ocean), including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and final delivery milestones Ensure on-time shipment performance in line with customer SLAs, especially for high-volume Amazon and B2B accounts Manage exception handling and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks proactively Vendor & Carrier Coordination Work closely with contracted carriers, liners, and trucking partners for space allocation, rate adherence, and service performance Coordinate closely with the Head of Procurement & Network Design to align vendor execution with negotiated terms Team Leadership & Management Lead and coach a team of export operations executives and coordinators Set daily and weekly operational priorities; review progress and resolve escalations Monitor team KPIs (e.g., cut-off adherence, documentation accuracy, on-time delivery %) Process Improvement & Compliance Standardize and continuously improve operational SOPs Ensure all activities are compliant with customs and regulatory requirements Implement process automation and efficiency initiatives where applicable Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Provide regular operational updates and exception reports to leadership Coordinate closely with sales, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded What are we looking for? Minimum 8-10 years of experience in export operations (ocean), preferably in a fast-paced freight forwarding, consolidator, or large 3PL environment Strong hands-on expertise in operational problem-solving and vendor management Experience working with Amazon export or other high-volume B2C export models is a strong plus Proven track record of leading and coaching operational teams Deep understanding of export documentation, customs clearance, and carrier processes Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills Comfortable working under pressure and handling real-time operational challenges Preferred Traits High ownership mindset; acts proactively without waiting for directions Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts independently Detail-oriented with a process-driven approach Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-border teams Why work with us?
