Job Description

The IT Manager will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the

organization’s entire technology ecosystem. This includes infrastructure,

cybersecurity, data governance, and IT operations aligned with business objectives.

The role demands hands-on technical proficiency, strong leadership, ethical

judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset. The candidate must ensure

technology not only functions efficiently but also upholds organizational integrity, data

privacy, and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Systems Management

 Plan, deploy, and maintain servers, networks, storage, and end-user systems.

 Oversee configuration, patch management, and lifecycle upgrades across IT

assets.

 Ensure optimal uptime, performance, and scalability of all IT systems.

2. IT Operations & Support

 Lead the IT support team to provide prompt, efficient, and documented

resolutions.

 Manage ticketing systems, define SLAs, and ensure service quality

compliance.

 Drive automation and preventive maintenance to minimize recurring issues.

3. Data Security & Compliance

 Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, firewall rules, antivirus

policies, and access controls.

 Oversee data backup, encryption, and disaster recovery plans; ensure

periodic testing.

 Enforce compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., IT Act, GDPR-like

standards).


 Conduct internal IT audits and maintain security logs.

4. Vendor & Asset Management

 Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software procurement, AMC, and

IT support.

 Negotiate contracts with transparency and cost efficiency in mind.

 Maintain accurate asset registers and license management records.

5. Leadership & Governance

 Mentor and upskill IT team members; instill accountability, integrity, and

performance excellence.

 Develop IT policies and SOPs covering usage, access, and cybersecurity.

 Collaborate with department heads to align IT initiatives with strategic goals.

6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

 Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions for business

growth.

 Champion process automation, digital transformation, and system integration

projects.

 Maintain awareness of industry best practices and bring data-driven

improvements.


Required Skills & Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (Master’s

preferred).

 6–10 years of proven experience managing IT infrastructure and operations.

 Strong hands-on expertise in:

o Windows / Linux Server Administration

o Network Management (LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Switches, Routers)

o Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)

o Backup, DR, and Cybersecurity systems

 Experience with ERP / CRM / Tally / Business Applications is highly

desirable.

 Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation abilities.


 Strong vendor negotiation, budgeting, and leadership skills.

 Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, ISO 27001 practices, or SOC standards

preferred.
