To support that growth, we want to build a culture where people love what they do, feel trusted with ownership, and grow fast .We’re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to take end-to-end ownership of the People function—across org design, performance, policies, and culture. You’ll work directly with the founders and functional leaders to make sure we’re hiring the right people, enabling them to do their best work, and retaining our top talent.If you enjoy a mix of hands-on HR ops and strategic projects , and want your work to directly shape how a company runs, this role is for you.ResponsibilitiesOwn core HR operations: Run the full HR lifecycle—onboarding, confirmations, performance cycles, compensation changes, internal transfers, and exits.Be a true business partner: Work with functional leaders (Sales, Product, Engineering, CS, etc.) on org structure, hiring plans, and people decisions aligned with business goals.Drive performance & feedback culture: Design and run performance review cycles, define expectations with managers, and ensure feedback is timely, fair, and actionable.Lead strategic People projects:Shape and protect culture: Translate LimeChat values into everyday behaviours—through policies, rituals, events, and how we handle tough decisions.Coach managers & employees: Be a trusted sounding board for leaders and team members on performance, conflict resolution, growth, and ways of working.Own employee experience: Continuously improve onboarding, engagement, recognition, and development so people feel supported from Day 1.Handle people issues with maturity: Proactively surface and address people challenges, manage sensitive conversations, and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.Use data to drive decisions: Track key people metrics (attrition, eNPS, performance distribution, hiring funnel health, etc.) and use them to inform actions and recommendations.Must-haves3–5 years of experience in HR / People roles , with exposure to both operational HR and business partnering ; startup or SaaS experience is a strong plus.Demonstrated experience working directly with functional leaders on team structure, hiring, performance, and retention.Strong ownership mindset – you’re comfortable taking decisions, setting up processes from scratch, and iterating quickly.Excellent communication and listening skills – you can switch comfortably between leadership conversations and 1:1s with individual contributors.Solid problem-solving and judgement – you can balance empathy with what’s right for the business, and use data where possible.Comfort with HR systems / tools (HRIS, ATS, performance tools) and Google Workspace (Sheets/Docs/Slides).Alignment with LimeChat’s values—especially moving with velocity , over-communication , and winning together .Nice-to-havePrior experience as the first/early HR hire or HRBP in a fast-growing startup.Experience designing or refining performance frameworks, leveling, and competency models .Exposure to compensation structuring, ESOPs , and salary benchmarking.Experience running engagement surveys , interpreting results, and driving follow-through.Interest in leveraging tools/automation (including AI) to make HR processes more efficient and insightful.Tools You’ll UseHRIS / Payroll tools
