Responsibilities About LimeChatWhat are we looking forThe Finance Associate will play a critical role in our Finance team by managing outstanding invoices, implementing our collections processes, and overseeing client payment compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling difficult payment situations tactfully, issuing legal notices when necessary, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients.ResponsibilitiesCollections Management: Proactively contact clients with overdue accounts to arrange for payment, offering solutions where possible.Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts, identify discrepancies, and work with clients to resolve disputes.Client Communication: Act As The Primary Contact For Payment-related Inquiries, Providing Clear Communication Regarding Payment Terms, Late Fees, And Collection Procedures.Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of collections, legal notices, and client interactions in our system. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on collections and outstanding balances.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the collections process and reduce overdue payments through proactive client engagement and risk assessments.Legal Enforcement: Requirements Draft, send, and follow up on legal notices for non-payment, coordinating with our legal team to ensure adherence to compliance standards.RequirementsExperience: 1+ years of experience in collections, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with collections law, including issuing legal notices and managing accounts in collections.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations professionally.Detail-Oriented: Meticulous record-keeping and attention to detail to ensure all interactions and legal notices are documented and managed appropriately.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldBenefitsUnlimited PTO / sick leaveSubsidised fitness membership Free lunch and snacksAnnual company retreatBring your dog/cat to work 🐶How to ApplyDoes this role sound like a good fit?
