Primary Function of Position
The FSO Analyst partners closely with Marketing, Sales & Clinical Directors, and the VP to conduct detailed analyses for the commercial organization, proactively delivering strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including the GM. The role involves significant collaboration with Commercial Directors, the VP, and the GM, as well as cross-functional coordination with Customer Finance, Training, Marketing, and other FSO teams. This position supports the VP & GM of India business and other functional leaders in financial planning, forecasting, and business analysis, leveraging a deep understanding of market dynamics to provide meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making
Essential Job Duties
- Partner with business leaders to support decision-making through world-class finance and sales operations analytics.
- Co-lead resource and investment planning with business teams, including budgeting for FTEs and capital, ensuring defined ROI and timely forecast updates.
- Deliver detailed, actionable financial and performance analyses to the Marketing and Sales organizations to drive growth and efficiency.
- Proactively analyze complex business problems, data, and market trends to provide strategic, data-driven insights that inform India’s commercial planning, strategy, and both short- and long-term financial models, supporting accelerated adoption and scale.
- Support enabling functions and CMO planning by developing financial strategies and models in collaboration with the Global Finance team.
- Design and implement tools and dashboards that identify opportunities and empower the Capital Sales team to more effectively promote da Vinci technology.
- Provide early insights into market trends and their potential strategic or business model implications.
- Utilize SQL and Tableau to query CRM, Customer Service, and Finance databases for analytics and reporting.
- Develop models and dashboards to track new product launches, assess the impact of sales activities, and monitor budget versus actual financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve operational challenges.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement best practices that enhance country-level performance.
- Work closely with the Asia Regional Office and US Headquarters on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Apply analytical rigor to validate or challenge anecdotal business insights.
Required Skills And Experience
- Financial & Analytical Skills
- Financial planning and analysis (FP&A): Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial modeling.
- ROI and investment analysis: Ability to assess business cases, measure return on investments, and optimize resource allocation.
- Business performance analysis: Strong understanding of P&L drivers, cost structures, and revenue modeling.
- Strategic financial insight generation: Translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Technical & Data Skills
- Advanced Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis, automation using formulas/pivots/macros).
- Data storytelling: Ability to present complex data in clear, business-relevant narratives.
- System knowledge: Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar).
- Business & Commercial Acumen
- Deep understanding of commercial operations, sales processes, and marketing analytics.
- Strong grasp of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and business model drivers (especially in the medical device or healthcare industry).
- Ability to link financial insights to commercial strategy, including new product launches and market expansion.
- Experience in supporting go-to-market strategies and sales incentive planning.

- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders (VPs, GMs) and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with Marketing, Sales, Customer Finance, and Global/Regional FSO teams.
- Capability to co-lead planning cycles and coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, matrix environment.

Qualifications
Required Education and Training
MBA or CA/CPA with 4-6 years of years of experience
Preferred Skills And Experience
- SQL proficiency for querying and extracting data from CRM, Customer Service, and Finance systems.
- Tableau / Power BI expertise for building dashboards, visualizing KPIs, and enabling business insights.
