Position Overview:

We’re looking for a strategic and driven Business Development Manager with 5+ years of experience in the IT industry to lead our growth across global markets. This role involves spearheading outreach on platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork and others, managing a high-performing team, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Sales (80%)

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage with enterprise and SME clients across industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, solution presentations, negotiation, and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, IT leaders, and procurement heads.
  • Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to deliver tailored IT solutions.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue from existing accounts.

Bidding Management (20%)

  • Identify relevant RFPs, RFQs, and tenders aligned with company offerings.
  • Prepare and submit competitive proposals with support from technical and delivery teams.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, documentation, and deadlines.
  • Analyze bidding outcomes and refine strategies to improve win ratios.

General

  • Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring achievement of KPIs and performance goals.
  • Track pipeline, sales forecasts, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Stay updated on IT industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure smooth handover to project and delivery teams for successful client onboarding.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT sales / enterprise sales / SaaS / technology solutions selling, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of IT solutions such as cloud services, SaaS, cybersecurity, ERP/CRM, AI, or managed IT services.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
  • Strong network of industry contacts and enterprise clients.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of quarterly and annual sales revenue targets.
  • Growth in client base and market penetration.
  • Team performance metrics (quotas achieved, conversion rates).
  • Customer retention, upsell, and cross-sell success.
  • Accuracy of sales forecasting and pipeline management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with international clients (US, UK, Europe, Middle East).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and IT service offerings.
  • Exposure to digital marketing and branding strategies.
