Asset Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Asset Performance Management

• Monitor and manage the performance of solar and energy assets across multiple sites (client and company-owned).

• Track KPIs such as generation efficiency, PR (Performance Ratio), downtime, degradation, and energy yield.

• Conduct periodic data analysis and performance benchmarking using SCADA or IoT-based monitoring systems.

• Identify and resolve underperforming assets through root cause analysis and corrective action plans. • Ensure optimal energy generation and financial returns for all assets under management.

2. Maintenance & Operations

• Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for solar plants and energy systems.

• Coordinate with O&M teams and service vendors to ensure timely resolution of faults and system issues.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, grid codes, and statutory regulations.

• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, system health, and performance audits.

3. Asset Lifecycle & Inventory Management

• Manage the full lifecycle of energy assets – from acquisition and commissioning to decommissioning or replacement.

• Maintain asset registers, documentation, warranties, and AMC records.

• Track and manage spares inventory, replacements, and component warranties.

• Support procurement and vendor evaluation for asset components (inverters, batteries, modules, etc.).

4. Financial & Reporting Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic performance and financial reports for internal stakeholders and clients.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization related to asset operations.

• Assist in ROI analysis, depreciation, and lifecycle cost estimation for existing and proposed assets.

• Coordinate with finance and compliance teams for insurance, asset valuation, and audits.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for client asset portfolios, ensuring transparent communication on performance and operations.

• Develop and present monthly and quarterly performance reports to clients and management.

• Support customer success teams in onboarding and managing client assets effectively.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies, utility companies, and equipment manufacturers as required.

6. Technology & Process Improvement

• Utilize digital tools, IoT platforms, and analytics software for asset monitoring and optimization.

• Propose process improvements for asset performance, maintenance efficiency, and reporting accuracy.

• Stay updated with technological advancements in renewable energy, storage systems, and energy analytics.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage, and hybrid energy solutions.

• Experience with SCADA, IoT dashboards, and energy monitoring tools.

• Data analysis and reporting proficiency (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).

• Understanding of electrical systems, power generation metrics, and grid connectivity.

• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

• Strong project coordination, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in energy asset management, preferably in the solar or renewable energy domain.

• Experience managing multi-site solar assets (rooftop, ground-mounted, or hybrid).

• Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS), BMS integration, and data acquisition systems.
