Job Description


Module Mounting Structures (MMS)


Key Responsibilities:


1. Solar MMS Procurement & Vendor Sourcing

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for Module Mounting Structures (MMS).
  • Ensure procured MMS components meet project specifications, quality standards, and industry norms.
  • Conduct technical and commercial assessments of vendor offerings.

2. PR–PO Management & Approvals

  • Lead and manage the complete PR to PO cycle for MMS procurement.
  • Handle eNFA and relevant approval workflows as per organizational P2P policies.
  • Track and ensure optimal turnaround time (TAT) for all procurement transactions.

3. Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service partners.
  • Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
  • Coordinate technical clarifications, commercial negotiations, and issue resolutions with vendors.

4. Cost Optimization & Negotiation

  • Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Perform internal costing assessments to evaluate feasibility and competitiveness.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions in favor of the company.
  • Identify and evaluate alternate vendors to optimize cost and reduce dependency risks.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Asset Management, Project Execution, and Site Teams to align procurement needs with project goals.
  • Ensure timely support to construction and engineering teams through proactive procurement planning.

6. MIS & Procurement Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain detailed MIS reports for the solar function.
  • Track procurement status, vendor offers, budget vs. actual cost, and material delivery progress.
  • Provide timely updates to management on procurement milestones, risks, and deviations.


Required Skills:


  • Strong understanding of

    Solar Module Mounting Structures (MMS)

    , fabrication processes, and mechanical engineering standards.
  • Proven experience in PR–PO lifecycle management, procurement compliance, and approval workflows.
  • Strong negotiation and cost-analysis capabilities with a track record of achieving cost savings.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement tools

    with strong MIS reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and vendor coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks under tight deadlines.


Qualifications:


  • B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

    from a recognized institution.
  • 8–10 years of proven experience

    in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the solar or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of Solar Module Mounting Structures (MMS)

    , vendor evaluation, costing, and procurement lifecycle management.
  • Notice Period:

    Immediate to 15 Days.
