Asset Manager

As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, from requisition to disposal. Your key responsibilities will include: - Maintaining accurate records of all IT assets using repositories and tools such as Service Now CMDB. - Working closely with vendors to address warranties and insurance claims. - Ensuring up-to-date inventory of all IT assets with precise location and assignment details. - Tagging assets during induction and updating corresponding records in CMDB/Fixed asset register. - Managing inventory of desktops, laptops, desk phones, mobile phones, desk monitors, consumables, etc. accurately. - Disposing of obsolete assets through e-waste process within regulatory and STPI guidelines. - Assisting in the procurement of IT hardware assets as per business requirements. - Preparing early budget for IT Hardware Asset Refresh and publishing business case for asset replacement. - Reconciling assets across Asset Management Tool, CMDB, Fixed Asset Register, and Physical inventories. - Monitoring allocation procedures and ensuring transactions are updated in tools. - Managing the receipt of IT assets into the organization. - Publishing monthly asset status reports with details on assets in use, in stock, obsolete, disposed, and corrective plans. - Managing the IT storeroom and ensuring assets are maintained in a safe and organized manner. - Assisting with internal and external vendor audits of IT assets. - Working closely with support teams to manage IT assets of remote locations. - Maintaining inventory of consumables/peripheral items with defined stock levels. - Conducting physical verification of IT assets and publishing reports. - Acting as the point of contact for all stakeholders for IT-related requirements.
