ServiceNow Software Engineer CL 4.5

Outcome-Driven Accountability

  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop and refine ideas for integrating predictive and prescriptive analytics within business processes, ensuring measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Decompose complex business problems into manageable components, facilitating the use of multiple analytic modeling methods for holistic and valuable solutions.
  • Develop and refine prototypes and proofs of concepts, presenting results to business and IT leaders, and demonstrating the impact on customer needs and business outcomes.

Technical Leadership and Advocacy

  • Engage in data analysis, generating and testing hypotheses, preparing and analyzing historical data, identifying patterns, and applying statistical methods to formulate solutions that deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop project plans, including resource needs and task dependencies, to meet project deliverables with a focus on incremental and iterative delivery.

Engineering Craftsmanship

  • Participate in defining project scope, objectives, and quality controls for new projects, ensuring alignment with customer-centric engineering principles.
  • Present and communicate project deliverable results, emphasizing the value delivered to customers and the business.

Customer-Centric Engineering

  • Assist in recruiting and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of engineering craftsmanship and continuous learning.

Incremental and Iterative Delivery

  • Stay abreast of changes in technology, leading new technology evaluations for predictive and statistical analytics, and advocating for innovative, lean, and feasible solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert skills in configuration, customization and administration of ServiceNow platform in atleast 2 areas i.e. ITSM, ITBM, GRC, CSM, ITOM etc
  • Strong skills in in design and implement of custom Portal using Service Portal, build custom widgets.
  • Excellent skills on Scripting using JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, XML, Ajax, CSS
  • Build integrations with third party applications using REST, SOAP etc
  • Assist in upgrades ServiceNow platform applications
  • Review the code of the developers and mentor them.
  • Assist the developers on technical issues.
  • Maintain and adhere to source code, configuration management, release management and software development best practices.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodology, knowledge to SAFe Agile would be a plus.
  • Providing support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes.
  • Maintain ServiceNow training and knowledge thru self-learning, attending conferences and training
  • Defining and validating non-functional (technical) requirements and establishing traceability between requirements and application architecture/design.
  • Experience in PPM would be a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills to earn support of business leaders, technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives.
  • Capable of building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of ServiceNow
  • Strong knowledge of web-based technologies; AngularJS, HTTP, AJAX, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS
  • Microsoft SQL Server and other most common backend Microsoft technologies.
  • Well versed in UML with comfort of diagraming in at least one tool – Visio, Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm, Modelio etc.
  • Experience with the following Technologies/Methodologies preferred:
    • Messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with at least 4 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer
  • At least 1 year of experience as Portal developer
  • At least 3 years of experience in Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables, reports in ServiceNow
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a technical lead, doing code reviews and providing technical guidance to the team.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • ITIL Certifications
  • ServiceNow training and certifications
  • Must have clear communications skills both oral and written Ability to negotiate in a non-confrontational manner to deliver a clear, well-structured and concise argument to support your opinion, using facts, pro's/con's, business justifications and other persuasion methods.
  • Must have ability to work in fast paced environment, balance priorities and juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must possess a strong desire and clear understanding for high customer satisfaction
  • Must be flexible, have good energy, easy to work with and a team player
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with third party plug-ins that offer cost effective business solutions
  • Prior experience in supporting proposals and providing written content for future prospects
