Manager – Purchasing

You'll be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with our business objectives, while also ensuring compliance and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Develop Procurement Strategy:

  Create and implement comprehensive procurement strategies focused on cost optimization, maintaining high quality standards, and mitigating supply chain risks.

• Drive Sustainable Practices:

  Lead initiatives in

  sustainable procurement

  , incorporating

  CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

  principles and exploring

  Green electricity

  approaches.

• Supplier Relationship Management:

  Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers, then expertly negotiate and manage contracts to secure the best terms and value.

• Optimize Inventory:

  Analyze demand patterns, accurately forecast future material needs, and manage inventory levels in close coordination with Production Planning & Control (PPC) and Stores.

• Establish Procurement Governance:

  Develop robust procurement rules and regulations, and establish clear guidelines for price quotes, bids, and vendor management.

• Ensure Quality Assurance:

  Take ownership of the quality of all procured items, promptly addressing and resolving any issues that arise.

• Foster Collaboration:

  Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Finance, Production, Projects, Maintenance, HR, and Administration to ensure seamless operations.

• Maintain Detailed Documentation:

  Prepare comprehensive proposals and detailed documentation for all purchases, agreements, and contracts, ensuring compliance with

  LOA (Letter of Authority)

  &

  DOA (Delegation of Authority)

• Team Leadership & Development:

  Recruit and train new staff members, building a capable and efficient purchasing team.

• Leverage Technology:

  Utilize technical tools and data analysis to enhance responsiveness to material demands and drive strategic decision-making.

• Oversee Auditing & Compliance:

  Manage auditing processes to ensure all procurement and record-keeping activities comply with applicable industry standards and internal policies.

• Ensure Regulatory Compliance:

  Monitor and ensure compliance with tax, advance payment, and legal requirements, liaising with all external agencies on a periodical basis and reporting to management.

• Manage Scrap Operations:

  Oversee the efficient management and disposition of scrap materials.

What You'll Bring:

• Education:

  A Bachelor's degree (Graduation) is required.

• Experience:

  A minimum of

  12 to 15 years of relevant experience

  in a similar purchasing or procurement role.

• Technical Skills:

  Proficiency in

  MS Office

  and

  SAP

  , with strong capabilities in data analysis for strategy development,

  MIR (Material Inspection Report)

  generation, and reporting.

• Process Expertise:

  Strong knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures, including familiarity with

  ISO, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), and EMS (Environmental Management System)

  standards.

• Interpersonal & Communication:

  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, vital for internal collaboration and external negotiation.

• Adaptability:

  Ability to quickly learn new software and processes to adapt to evolving business needs.
