Purchasing Manager

As a Procurement Manager at our company, your role will involve identifying and nurturing relationships with suppliers and vendors, as well as overseeing the implementation of supply and production strategies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop the Purchasing Strategy. - Manage the purchasing process and other members of the purchasing team. - Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in purchasing Engineering items such as Pumps, Blowers, Valves, Fittings, Pipes, Instrumentation, Electrical items, Steel Plates, and other Engineering consumables. - Understand Import substitution/Outsourcing engineering items from around the world. - Conduct negotiations of Quotations and Contracts. - Review Purchase Orders for effective terms and Conditions. - Maintain Records of Purchasing and Generate MIS for management review. - Evaluate Vendors based on Quality, Delivery, and Pricing. - Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems. - Maintain minimum inventory levels as per supply needs and lead time of purchasing. - Stay updated with trends in procurement related to Raw Material pricing and devise effective strategies periodically. - Develop the KRA for the Purchase department for Cost reduction through new supplier development, effective negotiations, Value Engineering, Import Substitution, and other Tools. **Qualifications:** - Engineering degree is required. - Minimum 10 years of experience working in the purchasing department in the same/similar industry. - Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends. - Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry. - Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Great team player.,
