MEP Lead

Project & Technical Leadership

• Lead and manage all MEP aspects of

  commercial office fit-out projects

  , including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, design coordination, execution, commissioning, and close-out.
• Review, interpret, and apply complex MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documentation specific to corporate interior/fit-out environments.
• Ensure MEP design compatibility with architectural layouts, IT/AV requirements, workplace strategy, HVAC zoning, lighting design, fire & life safety standards, and code compliance.
• Conduct design reviews and value engineering to optimize cost, space, and efficiency for modern workspaces.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Engage directly with clients and workplace consultants to capture MEP requirements for office fit-outs.
• Prepare scope of work, engineering resource plans, cost estimates, BOQs, project schedules, and risk registers.
• Provide clear communication through progress reports, dashboards, presentations, and meeting minutes.

Team Handling & Coordination

• Lead and manage MEP engineers, supervisors, contractors, and consultants involved in commercial fit-out works.
• Allocate and supervise workloads, track performance, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality execution.
• Manage third-party MEP vendors and contractors, including RFP creation, bid analysis, onboarding, and performance evaluation.

Governance, Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain strict documentation governance across MEP drawings, submittals, compliance certificates, commissioning reports, and change orders.
• Ensure all MEP works meet commercial office fit-out standards, statutory regulations, NBC norms, fire norms, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate closely with architects, PMC teams, and landlords for approvals and compliance.

Monitoring, Reporting & Risk Management

• Track progress of MEP works against approved budgets, timelines, and milestones.
• Identify variances and execute corrective and preventive action plans.
• Drive change management for MEP scope, including technical evaluation, impact assessment, client approvals, and issuing change orders.
• Identify potential risks related to MEP services and implement mitigation plans.

Work Flexibility

• Available to work extended hours as required based on site requirements, project phases, or commissioning timelines.

Other Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams and contribute to organization-wide fit-out best practices.
• Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Direct leadership of internal MEP teams and external contractors.
• Responsible for team capability development, resource planning, performance tracking, and motivation.
• Accountable for meeting project deadlines and making decisions aligned with company policies and client goals.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E. Electrical) or relevant MEP discipline.

• Experience:

• 10+ years for Senior Project Manager levels; 5–9 years for MEP PM roles.

• Mandatory experience in commercial office fit-out projects

  (corporate interiors, workplace transitions, restacks).

• Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, lighting design, plumbing, fire & life safety systems, IBMS, and ELV systems for office environments.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement practices, and industry standards.
