Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
ServiceNow Developer
with strong hands-on expertise across
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
,
IT Service Management (ITSM)
,
Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
, and
Employee Center
.The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions while ensuring platform stability, security, and optimal user experience.This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Development & Customization
- Design, develop, and implement solutions across IAM, ITSM, HAM, and Employee Center modules.
- Build and customize catalog items, workflows, Flow Designer flows, and approvals to support business processes.
- Develop and maintain Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
- Configure and customize Employee Center portals, pages, widgets, and knowledge integration to enhance employee self-service.
IAM (Identity and Access Management)
- Implement and enhance user access request workflows, role assignments, group management, and approvals.
- Integrate IAM processes with HR onboarding/offboarding and ITSM request fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, segregation of duties (SoD), and audit requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues and automate identity lifecycle processes.
ITSM
- Customize and support Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and CMDB processes.
- Configure SLAs, notifications, assignment rules, and escalation mechanisms.
- Improve operational efficiency through automation and best-practice ITIL-aligned processes.
- Support ITSM reporting, dashboards, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
- Configure and enhance hardware asset lifecycle management including procurement, receiving, stockroom, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Maintain asset models, CI relationships, and integrations with CMDB.
- Automate asset tracking, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure accurate asset data to support compliance, financial reporting, and operational needs.
Employee Center
- Design and configure Employee Center experiences for HR and IT services.
- Customize pages using UI Builder, widgets, branding, and content management.
- Integrate knowledge articles, catalog items, and workflows for a seamless employee experience.
- Optimize search, navigation, and personalization features.
Platform Administration & Governance
- Manage roles, ACLs, update sets, data policies, notifications, and system properties.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support UAT and production deployments.
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, security standards, and SDLC processes.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and provide root-cause analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Mandatory hands-on expertise in:
- IAM (Identity and Access Management)
- ITSM
- HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
- Employee Center
- Strong scripting skills in JavaScript and ServiceNow Glide APIs.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Service Portal / Employee Center, and UI Builder.
- Strong understanding of CMDB, asset lifecycle management, and data modeling.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub).
- Exposure to HRSD, SAM, or Discovery modules.
- Familiarity with ATF (Automated Test Framework).
- ITIL v3/v4 certification.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Implementation Specialist certifications in ITSM, IAM, or ITAM
