Snowflake’s Finance Rotation Program consists of 1-year roles across finance and accounting spread over 2 years. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduation in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related quantitative field
  • 0-1 years of Finance or Accounting experience/internships in either a start-up environment or Chartered Accountancy firm
  • Experience using Excel and Powerpoint (Ability to build reports, dashboards, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Knowledge of USGAAP or IFRS
  • Experience in using Tableau or similar - desired
  • Recognized professional qualification(s) CA/CPA/CIA/ACCA is a plus
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights is a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based or software as a service (SAAS) companies is a plus.
  • Salesforce, Vertex, Stripe, lockbox and Workday Financials ERP experience is a plus
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to applicable SOX controls is a plus
TEAM DESCRIPTIONS:

Credit and Collections Analyst

  • Perform analysis of credit and collection practices and develop process improvements
  • Work with our internal sales team and other cross functional teams as well as outside customers to resolve credit and collection issues as well as help improve processes
  • Perform outbound collections tasks in a professional manner with a focus on customer service while adhering to Company Policy
  • Participate in and support systems improvements and focus on streamlining the collection process

Revenue/Billing Analyst

  • Communicate with client’s inquiries and internal requests
  • Manage, Monitor and Analyze all billing presentment portals daily
  • Support the team with providing the required support for external, internal and SOX audits (primarily during the quarter and year-end audits)

Accounting/Reporting Analyst

  • Accounting:
    • Recording the payroll journals for the US/APAC/EMEA region.
    • Record payroll accruals such as PTO, Bonus, Holiday pay, ER taxes etc.
    • Accounting inter-company transactions and co-ordinate with the Treasury team.
    • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for all the accounts related to above areas.
    • Track open items in the Balance Sheet Accounts and work with stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner.
    • Deep dive and explain significant movements in account balances by way of a commentary (balance sheet and income statement flux).
    • Experience in the allocation process and automation of monthly activities.
    • Participate in global standardization efforts for policies and procedures.
    • Provide the required support for external, internal and SOX audits, process walkthroughs and workflows as and when required (primarily during quarter and year end audits).
  • Reporting:
    • Drafting financial statements and notes to accounts in accordance with local GAAP and compliant to internal policies.
    • Conversion of US GAAP trial balances to local GAAP or IFRS trial balances.
    • Ensure that US GAAP and local GAAP account balances are periodically reconciled, and GAAP differences are adequately explained.
    • Ensure that entries in the local GAAP ERP are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Closely coordinate with the tax team for supplying information required for estimating interim / final tax provision.
    • Drafting and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations.
    • Prepare audit timetable and agree with the external auditors.
    • Standardize and issue prepared by client (PBT) list.
    • Proactively communicate audit timelines to all the respective stakeholders, set expectation on timelines and monitor the progress of the audit.
    • Ensure the audit queries are addressed to and drive audit to closure.
    • Drive the statutory filing process - Filing of certified annual financial statements and all required documents with local statutory agencies.

Procurement

  • Serve as a Procurement partner and liaison to the business supporting all designated functions, Procurement projects, and vendor onboarding & management
  • Collaborate with Snowflake’s Legal and Security departments to ensure compliance with requirements and standard contract terms
  • Measure, manage and improve supplier performance against negotiated SLAs and quality metrics
  • Partner with our Global Contracts team to review Contracts and redline documents
  • Assist with the management of Snowflake’s supply chain
  • Help with all aspects of negotiations, including the creation of negotiation plans
  • Support the Travel and Expense Process
