Asst Mgr Purchase:
Being the part team purchase of the product company, you will play key role in bringing about Direct and In-Direct Purchase of Evolute Group.
The Opportunity
This position is on Assistant Manager Category. The candidate should have ownership/leadership roles prior than this in line with respect to operations and material sourcing initiatives. Key Responsibilities Include
- Strategic responsibilities –
- Standardize Procurement Processes: Drive material procurement through well-defined SOPs and SAP workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Production, Quality, Finance, IMPEX and Logistics teams to ensure timely material availability for internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Cost Optimization: Develop plans and processes to minimize purchasing costs through effective vendor negotiations and strategic sourcing.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and fulfilment status to the Purchase Head via Power BI Dashboard.
- Functional responsibilities –
- Team Leadership
- Engage and motivate the Purchase Executive team.
- Manage resource allocation and workload distribution.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Operational Purchase
- Ensure smooth Procure-to-Pay cycle in SAP.
- Release POs for group companies and monitor delivery schedules.
- Submit fortnightly cash flow plans to Accounts for vendor payments.
- Vendor Management
- Develop Strategic Partnerships Alliance Ecosystem.
- Negotiate prices, commercial terms, and delivery timelines with existing and new vendors.
- Conduct vendor assessment audits for technology, infrastructure, and compliance.
- Improve supplier performance score to 95%+ through RCA and corrective actions.
- Compliance Documentation
- Maintain ISO, TQM other Audit related documentation.
- Ensure sustainable sourcing and adherence to compliance standards.
- Costing Analysis
- Perform detailed product costing, including taxes, freight, inflation, and other factors.
- Support cost reduction and value creation initiatives.
- Internal Coordination
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Finance, and Logistics for timely fulfilment.
To qualify for the role, you must have –
- Bachelor’s in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of experience in purchase activities in Electronics Product Manufacturing and Battery Pack Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas), MS Word, Outlook, and SAP/ERP systems.
- Typing speed: 30+ words per minute.
- Language proficiency: Hindi, Marathi, English (written and spoken).

- Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable managing procurement in ambiguity.
- Customer-centric approach and strong vendor collaboration skills.
- Understanding of budgets and business planning.
- Ability to work under pressure and extended hours when required.
- Awareness of technological changes in the electronics industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor agreements/contracts.
- Knowledge of electronics product manufacturing processes.
You will earn brownie points if you have
- Part of Team as a material procurement / sourcing of developing a Evolute Group Products Raw Materials and/or platform based on cutting edge future technologies.
- Knowledge of Global technologies and regulatory issues/compliance (Example what is used in say Africa, Latin America)
- Working experience with both product and services technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of experience in purchase activities in Electronics Product Manufacturing and Battery Pack Manufacturing.
