Role Overview

The Vice President – Business Development will drive revenue growth and client partnerships across Flamingo BPO’s Collections, Verification, Customer Support, and CX Operations verticals. This leadership role combines strategic business acquisition with operational understanding to ensure sustainable growth, strong client relationships, and seamless delivery. The VP will work closely with the CEO, CHRO, COO, and Operations Heads to shape go-to-market strategies, anchor large deals, and expand Flamingo’s footprint across BFSI, Fintech, Telecom, and allied industries. 


Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Own the sales strategy and revenue targets across Collections, Verification, and CX businesses. 
  • Identify, prospect, and close large enterprise accounts in BFSI, NBFC, Fintech, Telecom, and E-commerce. 
  • Develop proposals, RFP responses, and solution designs in collaboration with Ops, Finance, and HR. 
  • Build strong C-suite relationships with clients to anchor long-term partnerships. 


Strategic Account Management

  • Drive wallet share expansion in existing accounts through cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. 
  • Act as client partner for top 10 strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. 
  • Work with delivery heads to align SLAs, cost structures, and client expectations. 


Solution Design & Operations Alignment

  • Translate client requirements into workable solutions (collections strategies, verification models, CX programs). 
  • Partner with Operations, Technology, and HR to ensure staffing, compliance, and delivery readiness. 
  • Develop pricing models and commercial constructs balancing competitiveness and profitability. 


Leadership & Market Positioning

  • Represent Flamingo BPO in industry forums, client events, and networking platforms. 
  • Mentor and build a high-performing business development team (managers, RFP leads, client partners). 
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to guide business strategy. 


Governance & Reporting

  • Track pipeline, forecast accuracy, and deal conversion through structured MIS. 
  • Report quarterly to the CEO and Board on growth, pipeline health, and new market opportunities. 
  • Ensure contracts, commercials, and compliance are aligned with Flamingo’s policies. 


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education

    : MBA (Sales/Marketing/Operations preferred). 
  • Experience

    : 15–20 years of proven success in business development and account management in BPO/ITES, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • Strong domain expertise in Collections, Verification, CX, or Customer Support outsourcing. 
  • Demonstrated ability to close large deals (₹50 Cr+ annual contracts). 
  • Track record of building CXO-level relationships across BFSI, Telecom, and Fintech sectors. 
  • Understanding of BPO operations, compliance, and delivery models (onshore, offshore, field). 
  • Strong financial acumen to design commercials, pricing, and profitability frameworks. 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
