Project Manager – BPR & Process Excellence Projects

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of business process re-engineering (BPR) and Process Excellence initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, enable digital automation, and support scalable growth. The role is pivotal in aligning cross-functional teams, optimizing supply chain and procurement processes, and integrating advanced systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, PLM and etc.) to support organizational transformation. By driving stakeholder collaboration, system adoption, and program governance, the Project Manager ensures seamless transition to future-ready digital platforms while delivering measurable business impact.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Program & Project Management

• Define and manage program objectives, scope, schedules, and resources across transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and program dashboards.
• Ensure timely delivery of milestones across AS-IS mapping, TO-BE design, solution implementation, and benefits realization.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Business Process Re-engineering

• Lead the assessment and redesign of core business processes across supply chain, procurement, and finance.
• Facilitate process discovery and documentation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Gemba walkthroughs.
• Translate inefficiencies into improvement opportunities and prioritize quick wins based on impact and feasibility.
• Ensure all redesigned processes are automation- and digitization-ready.

Process Excellence Projects

• Design and execute Lean Six Sigma initiatives to drive quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Build frameworks for KPI tracking, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement.
• Establish Center of Excellence (CoE) practices for best-in-class process management and governance.
• Standardize workflows, reduce cycle times, and deploy automation (RPA/AI) to eliminate non-value-added tasks.
• Run maturity assessments and develop playbooks to institutionalize operational excellence.

Stakeholder & Change Management

• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies across departments and business units.
• Conduct business impact assessments and build change adoption plans with structured communications.
• Lead end-user training, process onboarding, and communication rollouts.
• Provide regular updates to CXOs and steering committees, ensuring alignment on vision and execution.

Supply Chain & Operations Excellence

• Identify and resolve inefficiencies in inventory, procurement, and fulfillment through data-driven insights.
• Implement procurement and logistics optimization models using analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL.
• Collaborate with sourcing, planning, and logistics to implement scalable solutions aligned with S&OP/SIOP goals.
• Integrate performance metrics, dashboards, and scenario planning for operational agility.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead a matrixed team of program managers, Black Belts, and coordinators.
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and innovation across the team.
• Upskill team members on Lean, Six Sigma, agile project delivery, and advanced analytics.
• Conduct regular coaching, feedback sessions, and career development planning.

QUALIFICATION

• MBA - Supply chain/ Operations/ Project Management
• Engineering degree preferred
• PMP certifications

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 08-12 years of experience working in cross functional teams
• Auto industry experience preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience is a must with exposure of working with functions like Operations, Supply Chain etc.
• Strong understanding of various Business Processes in a Manufacturing Industry
