We're urgently seeking an o9 Configuration Lead to step in and lead configuration delivery on a high-pressure, business-critical program. The ideal candidate will have to be an experienced professional who can take ownership, stabilize delivery, and guide a junior team. What you’ll do:
- Configure o9 IBP, DP, SP and S&OE modules to align with business needs, develop planning logic, manage data integrations, and support analytics and testing processes.
- Handle hands-on platform setup and troubleshoot issues in line with functional requirements.
- Quickly interpret complex model structures and system design, adjusting or resolving client-specific custom elements.
- Oversee or lead configuration efforts, ensuring alignment with overall delivery timelines.
- Support data migration and cutover phases, including the creation and management of deployment packages.
- Confidently navigate the platform, execute key procedures, and identify relevant components within the system.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve issues; experience with debugging and managing support tickets is highly valued.
- Familiarity with IBPL scripting is advantageous.
- Must be collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced, priority-driven environment. Platform Configuration (IBP, S&OE) Configure o9's Demand Planning, Supply Planning, IBP, and SO&E to align processes. Design Attribute-Based Hierarchies, Time Bucket Profiles, and Aggregation/Disaggregation Rules for multi-level planning (SKU, plant, region). Develop custom planning logic using o9's planning engines (heuristics, time-series forecasting) and scripting tools (Python, R). o9 Data Model & Planning Engine Design Build master data structures (products, locations, customers) and key figures (demand signals, capacity constraints). Optimize pegging rules, supply allocation strategies, and exception management workflows for real-time S&OE adjustments. Configure Scenario Manager for what-if analysis (e.g., demand spikes, supply disruptions). Integration and Data Requirements Design data pipelines synchronizing o9 with SAP ECC, APO, IBP, and external market data sources. Validate data quality through o9 Loader and troubleshoot integration errors in collaboration with IT teams. Scenario Management & Analytics Develop interactive dashboards using o9's KPI Engine to track forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory turnover. Configure exception s for stockouts, excess inventory, and production bottlenecks. Testing, Validation, and Support Execute unit testing, system & integration testing, and UAT for o9 configurations, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Resolve post-go-live issues via ServiceNow tickets and provide Level 2/3 support for planners. Documentation & Training Create technical playbooks for configurations, including data mappings, calculation logic, and user permissions. Train regional planners on o9's Tag UI, Workflow Designer, and Scenario Manager through hands-on workshops. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's / Master’s in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Experience: 3-5+ years configuring o9 IBP / S&OE modules (Demand 360, Supply 360) in CPG/FMCG industries. IBP, SO&E and Supply Planning Experience required. 2+ full lifecycle implementations of o9 or SAP IBP, including data migration and cutover planning. Technical Skills: o9 Platform: Modeler, Workflow Designer, Data Ingestion, KPI Engine, Scenario Manager. Integration Tools: Snowflake, Talend, Kafka, REST APIs, SAP CPI, Oracle OIC. Data Modeling: Time-series forecasting, constraint-based supply models. Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, or o9 native dashboards. Tools: SQL, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow. Preferred Experience Certifications: o9 Solutions, SAP IBP, or Kinaxis Rapid Response. Exposure to AI/ML-driven demand sensing or control tower frameworks. Agile/Scrum methodology experience with Jira board management. What you should have:
- 3+ years’ experience in Data architecture, Data engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on data modelling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Ability to take complete ownership of work and deliver with minimal management oversight.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), AZURE, Google Cloud Infrastructures preferred.
- Experience with planning applications like o9, SAP, Oracle, e2open, Kinaxis, JDA, etc. preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL languages, along with workflow management tools like Airflow, SSIS.
- Experience working with Parquet, JSON, Restful APIs, HDFS, Delta Lake and query frameworks like Hive, Presto.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
