EnviPack is a fast-growing B2B procurement platform helping D2C, e-commerce, logistics, agritech, and hospitality brands with end-to-end procurement of packaging materials, consumable supplies, and linen products. Founded in 2023, EnviPack is building India’s largest procurement ecosystem with a focus on quality, reliability, and sustainability.

Role Overview

We are looking for a part-time HR professional to help establish a strong HR foundation at EnviPack. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating HR policies and regulations, drafting a Code of Conduct, and supporting recruitment of key team members.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR policies, an employee handbook, and company regulations.
Draft and formalize the Code of Conduct and workplace ethics guidelines.
Design basic HR processes for attendance, leave, onboarding, and performance reviews.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for key roles (procurement, operations, and sales teams).
Support contract drafting, documentation, and compliance.
Set up a simple HR framework suitable for a growing startup.
Conduct employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
2–5 years of hands-on HR experience, preferably with startups or SMEs.
Proven experience in HR policy formulation, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and basic performance management.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and G Suite for HR tracking and reporting.
Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance (Provident Fund, ESI, TDS, professional tax, statutory registers).
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Availability to work part-time (approx. 10–15 hours/week) on a contractual basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing HR processes and systems in early-stage startups.
Familiarity with performance management and engagement platforms (e.g., Lattice, Freshteam, Culture Amp) and HR analytics/reporting.
Experience drafting employment contracts, offer letters, and handling compliance audits.
Prior exposure to payroll processing and vendor coordination for benefits administration.

Contract Duration

Initial term: 3–6 months. Extensions will be considered following a formal performance review and based on business requirements. A standard review will be conducted at the end of month 3 (or earlier if key milestones are met) and will evaluate achievement of agreed deliverables and KPIs (for example, HR policy rollout, recruitment targets met, onboarding framework implemented), quality and timeliness of work, and cultural fit. If approved, extensions are typically offered in increments of 1–3 months and will be confirmed in writing with any changes to scope or compensation agreed mutually. Exceptional performance may lead to a longer-term engagement or consideration for a full-time role. Either party may terminate the contract with two weeks' notice (or payment in lieu), unless otherwise specified in the mutually signed agreement.

Compensation

Fixed monthly retainer (to be discussed based on experience).
