Role Description

The Head of Marketing will lead the marketing function at VMax Wellness, driving the organization’s brand, growth, and customer engagement strategies. This is a strategic onsite leadership role based in Coimbatore, responsible for building and executing high-impact marketing campaigns that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings 10–12 years of experience in marketing leadership, with a proven record of driving revenue, brand visibility, and digital presence in fast-paced, consumer-facing environments.

Roles And Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Define the overall marketing vision and go-to-market strategy in line with VMax’s business objectives.
  • Set marketing goals, key metrics and budgetary priorities; oversee allocation of marketing spend to maximise impact.
  • Shape brand positioning, messaging and value proposition to differentiate VMax in the wellness marketplace.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with senior leadership and other functions (Sales, Service Delivery, Operations, Product) to ensure marketing strategy is integrated with business operations.
  • Facilitate alignment between marketing initiatives and other business priorities such as customer acquisition, retention, service delivery and revenue growth.

Team and Resource Management

  • Build and lead a high-performance marketing team; define roles, recruit talent, mentor team members and drive performance culture.
  • Manage external agencies, vendors and partners; ensure high quality, cost-effective delivery of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Campaign & Channel Execution

  • Oversee planning, execution and measurement of marketing campaigns across channels (digital, social, content, events, partnerships).
  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints and maintain the integrity of the brand in every execution.
  • Monitor campaign performance, ROI and conversion metrics; optimise marketing tactics based on data and insight.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Lead market research, competitive analysis and customer segmentation to identify new opportunities and growth areas.
  • Use customer data and analytics to inform marketing strategy, improve customer journeys and drive better engagement and retention.

Innovation & Growth

  • Introduce new marketing technologies, tools or methodologies to enhance efficiency, scale marketing operations, and stay ahead of trends.
  • Lead product/brand launch initiatives, partnership marketing, influencer & PR programs to accelerate growth and brand impact.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Define, monitor and report marketing KPIs, dashboard metrics and campaign performance to senior leadership.
  • Conduct regular reviews, articulate insights and recommend course-corrections to deliver on marketing objectives.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Postgraduate degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience: 10-12 years in marketing leadership roles, ideally with exposure to brand, digital, performance-marketing, in B2C or health/wellness sectors.
  • Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to craft and execute marketing strategies that drive growth, brand awareness and engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience in building, leading and developing marketing teams; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical Orientation: Ability to leverage market data, customer insight and marketing analytics to inform decisions and optimise ROI.
  • Digital & Omni-Channel Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, content, performance channels, customer journeys, and emerging marketing tools.
  • Commercial Acumen: Experience managing marketing budgets, tracking KPIs, measuring ROI, and aligning marketing with business outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales, product/service delivery, operations and other teams in a cross-functional context.
  • Adaptability & Innovation: Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments; able to lead innovation, go-to-market launches and change initiatives.
