Join our Finance Transformation practice to help Deloitte client service teams define and execute Finance and Global Business Services agendas and strategies. You will work with world-class teams and insights, helping support delivery in challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to help unlock value. The Team
Business Finance | Profitability Costing and Allocations
Enables finance to drive strategic value through transformation and synchronization of planning, costing, budgeting and forecasting across finance and other functions. Using advanced, scalable data and tech platforms, we also generate actionable insights and analytics, streamline decision making and enable data driven profitable growth. Manages risk and opportunities associated with diverse and complex grant programs through end-to-end grants management solutions.Examples of work: Finance Analytics , FP&A & Management Reporting , Profitability, Costing and Allocations.
Work you’ll do
As part of the team, a Senior consultant provides consulting services by working with Deloitte teams on a wide variety of corporations, including multinational companies across all industry segments, including financial services, energy, manufacturing, and health sciences. Sample consultant responsibilities may include:
- Designing accounting data models and rules engines to deliver higher quality and more accessible financial information
- Understand current state finance data architecture, compare finance data elements (Chart of Accounts, Profit Center, Cost Center etc.) against industry benchmarks, identify gaps in current state, rationalize and design future state finance data architecture
- Customize PaPM models to cater to specific client needs, including creating calculation rules, allocation rules, and reporting structures.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications and technical designs.
- Solution Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement scalable SAP PaPM solutions with custom models, rules, and calculations.
- Technical Development: Develop data models, PAPM Functions, interfaces, and custom reports.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing, and resolve issues.
- Documentation and Training: Document configurations and processes, provide training and support.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and monitor system performance.
Required Skills
- Experience — 2 years to 5 years
- Demonstrated passion for innovation and use of Accounting Information Science technologies (e.g., SAP and/or Oracle) to solve business issues
- Understanding of financial processes, profitability analysis, and performance management
- Bachelor’s degree with mandatory technology (ERP, SQL, Visualization tools) knowledge and experience
- Working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA , BW, PAPM, SAC
- Experience as a user of or administrator of a common ERP Finance and Reporting package (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc)
- Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques
- Capable and flexible to work in cross-functional teams and cross-cultural teams across multiple locations and time zones
Qualification
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology/ CAs / CPAs
