Job role : Data Scien c e ManagerAre you an experienced Data Scientist who has led the development of world-class software or digital products? Perform exploratory data analysis on large datasets (several GB to TB) to define analytical modelsApply data science/ML forecasting techniques to solve complex business problems, must have good understanding of Timeseries data and Demand Forecasting use casesExplain analytics model behavior / results in the vernacular of the market needBuild, test, validate and demonstrate analytical models through various relevant error metrics and calibration techniques. Present the forecasting accuracy results to the client team.Deploy models into productionProvide feedback to product team to improvise the products.Consistently strive to acquire new skills on AI / ML, Cloud, Big Data technologiesSupport and coach your team on best coding practices, development tools, and pathfinding and surveys for technologiesEnsure SDLC best practices and standards are followed
Qualifications
Required:Include the most essential requirements that must be met for the role; the qualifications that a job seeker can demonstrably possess to be considered as a candidate. These should be quantifiable to allow for a clear and concise comparison of required skills to any given resume.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university; Advanced Degree (Bachelors/ Masters) in a relevant field is a plus
- 5-8+ years’ experience leading / implementing data science solutions. Must have working experience on Timeseries data and Demand Forecasting use cases
- Experience developing, implementing and maintaining machine learning and advanced statistical algorithms
- Deep understanding of data science principles, including machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- Deep understanding of Feature Engineering
- Experience working with large quantitative and qualitative datasets both hands on and managing teams doing the work
- Proven skills in Python, PySpark is a must have
- Experience using statistical computer languages to prepare data for analysis, visualize data as part of exploratory analysis, generate features, and other similar data science driven data handling
- Experience working with data science tools, Sklearn , Regression, classification models
- Experience in cloud-based eco-systems such GCP, AWS, or Azure for development and deployment of models
- Familiarity with consumer related data and a general interest in the retail, consumer products manufacturing, automotive, transportation, or hospitality sectors
- Strong storytelling skills with experience presenting to large technical and non-technical audiences
- A desire to take initiative and continuously work on improving the products you handle
- Highly self-motivated, energetic, passionate team-oriented personality and working style
- Strong analytical background combined with solid business experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across time zones
Work you’ll do:
A Data Engineer will be responsible for following activities:
- Participate in application architecture and design discussions. Work with team leads in defining solution Design for development.
- Analyze business/functional requirements and develop data processing pipelines for them.
- Perform unit testing and participate in integration in collaboration with other team members.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure its alignment with pre-defined architectural standards, guidelines, best practices, and meet quality standards.
- Work on defects\bugs and help other team members.
- Understand and comply with the established agile development methodology . Participate in various Agile ceremonies like – scrum meetings, sprint planning’s etc.
- Proactively identify opportunities for code/process/design improvements.

- Data Engineering Principles:
- Proficient in data warehousing concepts.
- Experienced with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Skilled in SQL and handling data in JSON and other semi-structured formats.
- Programming and Data Processing:
- Hands-on experience with Python for data processing tasks.
- Big Data and Cloud Platforms:
- Experience with Big Data technologies on cloud platforms such as AWS or Cloudera.
- AWS Cloud Platform:
- Working experience on the AWS cloud platform.
- AWS Data Pipeline:
- Knowledgeable in building data pipelines on AWS using services like Lambda, S3, Athena, Kinesis, etc.
- Performance Tuning:
- Proficient in performance tuning on various RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) such as Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, Impala, etc.
- Data Modeling Concepts:
- Good understanding of dimensional, relational, or hybrid data modeling.
- Continuous Integration Tools:
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins.
- Proficient with GIT version control systems.
- Familiar with issue tracking tools like JIRA.
- Agile Development:
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
Generative AI Experience:
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG):
- Must have Implemented RAG techniques to enhance data retrieval and improve the relevance of generated content.
- Integrated RAG models with existing data pipelines to optimize information retrieval processes.
Vector Databases:
- Utilizing vector databases for efficient storage and retrieval of high-dimensional data.
- Knowledge on vector search algorithms to enhance the performance of AI-driven applications.
Large Language Models (LLMs):
- Experience with deploying and fine-tuning large language models for various NLP tasks.
- Integrated LLMs into data processing workflows to automate and enhance data analysis.
LangChain :
- Knowledge on LangChain’s for building and managing complex data workflows.
- Experience in scalable data pipelines using LangChain to streamline data processing and integration tasks.
Efficiency Improvements:
- Should have implementation experience to reduce data processing times by optimizing ETL workflows and leveraging cloud-native solutions.
