This Strategic Leadership position will own and lead IT/ digital transformation at our client -across

group companies and business units - enabling multi fold growth across India and beyond Over next 3years.

There is a need to establish a solid IT/Technology foundation which will support the growth and

help differentiate in the market – positioning our client as a futuristic customer centric organization.

This leadership position will be responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, architecture,

implementation of IT/digital transformation and then establishing a lean operations model

enabling lean and IT ops. Working closely with business unit leaders, this position will help our client become a lean and truly agile DevOps organization.

Driving an application modernization and migration plan across the business, this function will

transform the way our client leverages technology and enable automation across the organization.

Defining an integrated data management approach and building an AI enabled business analytics

capability, this role will help our client monetize data and leverage data for superior experience and business value creation.

While building a comprehensive security framework for our client, this position will visualize and build customer /employee centric experience platforms connecting the organization.


Reporting to the CEO, the CTO will be responsible for giving oversight and direction to IT

and business leaders on strategy, standards, and opportunities for shared services and

economies of scale.



Strategic Planning and Leadership:


• Develop and implement the IT & Digital transformation vision and strategy in

alignment with the company’s business objectives.

• Position our client as a thought leader in industry forums and create visibility –

own innovation charter across the organization.

• Advise the senior management team on the emerging technologies and digital

trends that are most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs.

• Define futuristic IT architecture focused on experience led customer /employee

centric systems – delivering a seamless omni channel experience across sales

and service.

• Able to work collaboratively with diverse leaders, communicate an IT vision and

strategy across all levels of the organization, and build consensus around key

initiatives and projects.

• Lead and mentor the IT department, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• AOP & IT Budget Management. Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire and motivate a high performing IT team that values transparency and accountability.


Retail Technology and Innovation:


• Drive the adoption of cutting-edge retail technologies to enhance the customer experience, including e-commerce, mobile apps, CRM systems, and in-store technologies. Possess knowledge on Magento & Microsoft Dynamics.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the business.

• Champion digital transformation initiatives to improve customer engagement, streamline operations, and support omnichannel strategies.

• Transform our client into an Agile Devops organization working closely with business.


Data Management and Analytics:


• Develop and implement data governance and data management strategies.

• Utilize data analytics to provide insights into customer behavior, sales trends, and operational efficiencies.

• Support data-driven decision-making across the organization.


Vendor and Stakeholder Management:


• Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring the delivery of high- quality IT products and services.

• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to achieve cost-effective solutions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure IT initiatives support business objectives.


IT Governance and Compliance:


• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and security protocols.


IT Operations:


• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to support business operations.

• Manage the integration of new technologies and systems into the existing IT environment.

• Own operations across Applications, network, end user devices and security – cutting across partners and create an integrated IT operations model for our client.

• Direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the computing infrastructure that supports the company's operations and business applications.

• Establish metrics for managing IT effectiveness and for measuring the impact of IT on the business.

• Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

• Establish and enforce IT policies, processes, portfolio management, development standards and methodologies.


Desired Profile


• Over 20 years of experience in IT/tech – preferably in retail organizations or in services companies while managing end to end responsibilities for enterprises.

• Experience in digital transformation for enterprises – experience with retail industry preferred – spanning across business processes.

• Experience with omnichannel systems required for a new generation retailer.

• Experience across applications, infrastructure, network and end user IT environment operations.

• Ability to define and manage a futuristic IT architecture – spanning applications, data and security

• Experience in establishing an IT governance model across the organization

• Experience in DevOps transformation

• Experience in Process transformation

• Exposure to AI and automation technologies

• Willingness to take risks and ability to start from scratch


• Target orientation and familiarity with service delivery constructs relevant to IT

services – experience in building and managing a partner ecosystem

• Front line leadership and communication skills

• Deep understanding of Technology and architecture concepts – Industry

trends/disruptors

• Team building and team management skills
