Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Head to manage and run the business on behalf of the founders. The ideal candidate will have a background in Edutech industry, with proven experience in running organizations, handling teams, and driving business growth. This role will be responsible for directing all operations and staff, providing leadership and managing the team towards growth and profitability.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan to achieve business growth and profitability.
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for the company.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive innovation within the company.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth

Business Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
  • Implement and manage robust business processes to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of corporate governance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
  • Ensure the highest quality of service delivery for our clients.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee issues, loss of business to competitors)

Team Management

  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees and build technical, sales, HR, Admin, finance & operations team
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Set performance goals and metrics for the team, regularly evaluating and addressing performance issues.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that supports employee engagement and development.
  • Oversee all operational functions including sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
  • Manage P&L of the sales and operations function
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics
  • Report on the company’s financial and operational performance to the founders and stakeholders.
  • To generate targeted revenue by confirming positive cash flow of PAN India operations.

Business Development:

  • Drive profitable growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and new product development.
  • Manage the overall sales operations PAN India, setting and implementing processes in line with the organization guidelines
  • Create marketing opportunities and brand plans that align with the vision of the company
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Manage and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Qualifications/Skills

  • 15+ years of experience with at least 5 years in leadership role. Preferable Edutech
  • End to end ownership with action based ‘get it done’ vs. ‘wait for someone’ attitude
  • Entrepreneurial mindset in finding unique ways to achieve speed and scale in sales
  • Proven track record of success as a Business head/general manager
  • Should have a rich experience in Client Interface with CIOs/CTOs and Sales Heads
  • Technical bent of mind and astute eagerness in learning more and understanding high end technology solutions like CRM, ERP, LMS and Fintech
  • Proficiency in business software and technology.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and business development Key Account Management skills for building business from existing accounts with cross sell/upsell functions
  • Excellent Communication (Verbal and Written) with strong PR skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong Presentation skills for High End solution like CRM, ERP, BPM & Enterprise Solutions
  • Should be able to work in a standalone independent environment or in a group
  • Willing to travel extensively and always ready to meet new challenges
  • A results-oriented approach with a focus on exceeding client expectations
  • Aggressive and target oriented
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines and multi-task

Education

  • Bachelor /Master degree in Technology, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude and academic excellence is highly valued
